One of my subscribers ordered 19 cases to share with friends, probably set off some alarm bells.
 
For those liking a nice white, I have one for you. It's this - Belgravia Gewurztraminer 2011 (12 x 750mL) available from Graysonline auction finishing in 40odd minutes.
I had two cases delivered earlier this week and took the first bot to lunch with a mate for a little chinese in Victoria st.
For $19 a case , plus costs, a net under three a bottle, this is seriously good drinking. Due diligence was performed including a few folks claiming big variances in bottles, but for a summer drink, I easily give it 7.3.
Nice clear colour of yellow, nice not too aromatic nose, but a great body. Nice finish. Is it good at under 3 a bot. No !! It's ridiculous. Take it from me. Buy some.

Thanks for the heads up Beefarmer - picked one up for myself! I don't mind Gewürztraminer for something different and great for summer. Didn't need a case but at that price one can't really argue!

Apparently a small order, previous sale he ordered 40 cases....

From another of my subscribers:
"Had an interesting discussion with someone at TWE yesterday. Apparently those outrageously cheap $40 prices were designed for corporate executives as a Christmas loyalty reward and links were provided by invitation only and were available for about two weeks! Obviously somebody stuffed up, with them appearing on the corporate site range(at those prices) and when the rush started they were removed. "
 
If anyone's dec wine budget is not yet spent then vintage cellars ultimo has henschke mount. Edelstone 2012 for $104 and my local dans matched it. This was a single bottle purchase and not by the 6.

Me too. Yet I still bought the Winemarket secret Chardonnay this morning on my way home from overspending in Adelaide hills and Barossa cellar doors.
 
This isn't the deal to change the world but still ok. Alright I am late to the party as it ends Tuesday but spend $80 on bottled wine at BWS and get a bottle of Filsell free. I am happy to play.

Mr Murphy made a little typo online this morning. Unfortunately it did not extend to their shopping cart or I'd have bought them out....
 
Spotted at BWS yesterday, 2013 Wynns Black Label Cabernet Merlot 50% off - $22 down to $11 or $9.xx as part of any 6.

Interestingly the manager told me that Oct/Nov and April/May are the times to look out for discontinued lines being heavily discounted. The line mentioned above is a discontinued product.
