Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

I don't think that's how it works.

It normally will say uncapped, which means multiple orders.

You can do multiple orders, but it's capped at $40
Would be good if it was per sale. I grabbed a bottle of Roku gin and signed up for booze+ but only realised after that the free delivery was for orders over $100. I'm sure I cld find another $100+ to buy if the 40% could be accessed multiple times... but that really wouldn't make sense in the context of a $40 cap would it?

It can be a little confusing unfortunately.
It should say cap per account, or cap per order.

But I've rarely, if ever seen a cap but for multiple uses.
BWS was always uncapped, multiple uses.

The amount I spend on wine, you definitely get better value on spirits 🤣

I tend to find such shopbacks best for non wine purchases e.g. spirits, beer and ginger beer.

The wines they have on offer, as discussed above, can often be found at or better rates anyway.
I agree with this but unfortunately don't drink either beer or spirits. However, if you are looking for mainstream commercial wines (Penfolds, Wynn's, etc), these cashbacks give you the cheapest way to buy outside of a clearance or price error.

Also - given Boozebud is owned by CUB/Asahi, it makes sense that they are able to offer the steepest discounts on beer and spirits

$160 - $30 - $20 = $110 for Cyril.
Do I need a 3rd bottle?
Penfolds 389 $57.50

Theory of everything Pinot $5
Bellinger Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon $6 down from $20
Would the 389 aka baby grange be an absolute gem to drink now or to cellar for 10 years?
I don't know much about reds but really like the high end bold ones

Compared to grange overall are they the baby brothers or is that all fluff
I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than me will have a more precise answer, but the baby Grange only really references aging in old Grange Barrels rather than a 'declassification'.

I've always thought it's a different style. Very, very enjoyable even for those who object to the Penfolds house style (and bombast). Contrarians and the French may disagree ;),

Pretty much this. They use old Grange barrels. That and both are made in the Penfolds style are where the similarities end. So it's pretty much just marketing fluff.

Learned something new. I always assumed Penfolds 'house style' came from using almost exclusively new AP John american wood.
