Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

They are both fantastic wines and at a good price, you may be able to find them cheaper but they are certainly worth what they are charging. Save the Xanadu's for another 5 years though.

interesting - pricepal has 6.15% rebate on everything too. Need to stock up for my wedding so might pull the trigger this weekend. you can stack it with the 5% off wish cards right?

Yes, but you'd be better off stacking it with the 10% off WISH cards.

how can i get my hands on those? i thought entertainment card for 5% was best around?

There have been multiple places that have offered 10% off WISH cards over the past 6 weeks (Scoopon + Big W). You need to keep a look out for the offers.

From memory Entertainment Book had at least one offer off 7.5% off in 2015.

Do note, however, that some gift cards have recently become store specific (e.g. Big W), meaning you can only spend in the brand purchased from rather than the entire network of brands.

On the whinge front, add 1st Choice to the list of wine merchants advertising one vintage and providing another on current stock (and yes I know about the stupid asterisk).

I'm getting:
10.35% wine and cider
8.25% spirits
6.5% beer, champagne

This is true. However the cards I am referring to are WISH cards - these can be used at ANY Woolworths business. They were 10% off.

I'm also aware, although I missed out on the opportunity myself off a 30% off WISH card offer. Although there was a 1 x $100 limit.

Any recommendations of a high quality Dans Cellar Release red <$40-60 for drinking now? Or if anyone knows one on another site (I've had limited joy searching for aged wines on my other usual spots) please call out!

I have been looking at a few options including Wynns Black Label 2008 (Wynns has always been at worst pretty solid for me), Bin 128 2009, St Hugo 2010, Cape Mentelle Cab Sauv 2009

There are also a couple of French and Italian options around, though a bit trickier to find in the search function.
