Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

I've bought the Orlando twice at $30 and $35 per bottle. We've enjoyed it at this price and went back for seconds.
It drinks well with sitting in the glass for 30 minutes. It doesn't drink as well the next day.
What's the cork been like? Assuming we're talking the 2004

Surprisingly good. First one I broke it as I didn't go deep enough. Now I'm pretty much going for full length extraction to ensure it doesn't break. I've had not more leakage of 1/3 of the way up the cork.
I'm intrigued with the relabel and cork condition. I actually wonder if they have been rebottled and recorked.

Agree to this! 2004 is a very solid wine!

Is this one a good deal?
Thank you for sharing! Just got a case!
Membership is worth $10 at the moment, probably will end up spending a lot more due to this membership 😂

That Yarra Yering Agincourts a nice drop. I would buy a doz at that price. Are there any left? Just need to find a member.

I've been meaning to buy one of these for ages and just grabbed one myself after a couple of tussles with crumbly corks for a very modest outlay: Monopol - Ah-So Cork Puller | Peter's of Kensington
I use the Le creuset wine opener TM100 and find that it works really well, as I can slowly turn to pull the cork out.
I think this works well too, but somehow for old corks, I seemed to stuff it up using this - I think I'm not skilled enough to use it properly. 😂.

There's a product for this that is a combination of the ah-so, and a traditional corkscrew.

it's not cheap, but I see a lot of guys on youtube with very old bottles use it.

This is interesting. I can see this would work better for me (just not the price🤣) , it combines the corkscrews in - keeping the cork together.
