Not sure re 2009 vintage, but I have purchased and drunk most of 2012 Merlot in a regular bottle. It is definitively very different to any merlot I had in the past. I quite liked it but can see why some didn't.

I recall getting them for $10 a bottle at Dan's clearance and there were reports of heat damage. Out of 2 dozens that I got - I think one or two were corked.

I believe that it is 2017 Cornerstone Wilyabrup Cabernet Sauvignon - Juniper Estate

RRP is $80 per bottle - it actually says RRP $480 for a six pack down below in the description so is consistent with my guess. But who knows!

I would be very weary buying 2017 Marg River from my personal experience with Voyager CS 2017 that was simply undrinkable.

Corked or heat damaged?

I recall that mine were cork tainted, but I remember some folks (in WA from memory) were complaining re heat damage,

I tried the vintage 2009 from Clarendon Hills before, one is Shiraz and one is Mataro. Both are pretty good. If no cork problem I quite like the Clarendon hills Shiraz.

Picked this up at the warehouse sale - very good for the price and, as you say, will develop from here

Black label RRP is $130
