Yeah, there are lots of specials that I haven't been able to see in the past. I get the email alerting me to it and then log in to see nothing there!

Wine is a personal thing, so what's "better" for one person isn't for another - otherwise we'd all be trying to buy the one single bottle! So, I appreciate you're rating this particular one highly.
That said, I did an export from CellarTracker of my Cabernet/Cabernet blend purchases in the $0-40 range for the past 12 months - I don't buy a lot in this range (I tend to buy older/more expensive cabernets), but there's still a huge array of good deals. I'm sure others can chime in with their deals too. Given the range of stuff that $30/bot buys these days, I'll avoid splashing out for $30 2011 SA vintage with less than stellar reviews.

I think I am going to hire Buzzard as a cellar manager when he retires to go through all my wine (and receipts) and properly organise / catalogue it.

At this stage a full refund has been provided.

I've lodged a complaint with them re their misleading and deceptive conduct and used this as an example compared to the wolf blass/moet:

It really is - I've found it much easier to record and track things. I've even started rating wines which has got me thinking more about what I'm drinking and what I enjoy (its the little things)

It allows the average punter to pick up the Burge for a bargain price when you average it all out. I think the Franklin is the runt of the litter this time. Chapel Hill looks good, Pepper tree albeit cheap looks good. I bought a similar type of thing with the Shadrach months ago and you really can't knock the value even if may go up a few bucks.

Seconded. My only problem with Cellartracker is that I didn't find it earlier! Haven't started rating in there yet (am just using Vivino for easy star rating atm), but am sure I will eventually.

The reports showing your spend by month are damning evidence of the obsession though!

You sure it wasn't $40/bottle? It was $40/6 pack? If the latter, you got an amazing bargain
