Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

So you got the 30% off but you think that cash rewards didnt apply the 15% because the wine wasnt in the selected list?
Yes, but others seem to have scored the Cashrewards on other wines as well as the discount, so maybe I left the landing page/tab before ordering, that can cause it to lose track. Still haven't got a tracking email, but my click-through has tracked, so I'll try to get it looked at after 7 days.

Thanks for clarifying this, it's been a while since I was up there. There were some sensational tastings when I was there (we didn't get to Morris, a pity). The local bakery in Rutherglen also does a good crocodile pie.

A visit to Parker Pies is one of the reasons for staying in Rutherglen en route to Melbourne. The wineries are good too. :-)

Has anyone ever used Winebox Warehouse before? I'm interested in knowing if people think their wine is well stored and reliable to purchase from?

So has anybody actually tried this wine? I can get price down to $27.30 with WISH/CR - seriously tempted to just take a punt?
I bought a few of the 2011 earlier this year when it was at the same price. It was pretty good when first poured but declined as it aired. I am not going back for the 2012. There are a lot of good, more reliable wines from MR at that price point.

I have, but not for a long time, they have been around for many years though.

There were some allegations years ago that their store/storage got a bit hot in summer, but the store rep hotly denied that.

Having tired of the drab VM offerings went to Different Drop for a mixed bag ...

This just adds fuel to the speculation.
Win or should have just coolly denied it.

Just found this from a few years back, apparently WBW moved to new premises away from the one that was possibly subject to heat.
"Went down today to their new premises at Port Melbourne... Great spot.. tons of parking

Pretty large premises.... roof is a lot higher than the old place in Camberwell and I don't think they will suffer from heat at all..."

They've recently moved to Bentleigh in the SE suburbs. I've never checked it out though.

BWS may be doing their semi regular clear out.

Got some half priced fortified wine at Oran Park BWS tonight.

Could be worth a look at your local.

Based on your info, good Doctor, was able to pick up my prescription from the local BWS clearance last week:

3x Burge Filsell 2013 @19.95ea
2x Wirra Wirra Mrs Wrigleys Grenache Rose 2015 @ $7.48ea
1x Van Gent Mudgee White Port @ $7.13

Very happy to take my meds at those PBS-style prices :)

Just rcvd from Cracka:

Hi Mr Elite

In recent months the 2009 Mystery Australian Shiraz has caused a whirlwind of excitement through the Cracka world, albeit in hushed tones and veiled language.

The icon release from a well-established household name, which normally sells for near on $200 a bottle - all wrapped up in its resplendent wooden box - was certainly something to behold.

Incredibly, the brand new 2010 vintage of the same wine has just landed, and we have managed to secure it at basically the same price for you. Tissue paper covered labels and all.

From the near perfect 2010 vintage, which many winemakers declared was the best they will ever see in their lifetime, this benchmark wine has already scored a huge 96 points from an international reviewer. With the 2017 James Halliday Wine Companion due out next week, I am confident that it will score even higher on its home turf.

2010 Mystery Australian Shiraz

RRP $150-$200 Your Price $76.99/bottle in 6 packs

96 Points Leading International Wine Critic

From a single, premium Shiraz region. The fruit is handpicked from near century-old vines, then basket pressed and matured in oak for approximately 18 months. Rich ruby colour in the glass, the distinctive aroma offers powerful black cherry, cinnamon laced dark chocolate, smoky bacon and leather notes. The palate is intense, mouth-filling and textural; thick with concentrated dark berries and spice. The fruit is wrapped in velvety tannins and the length is mesmerising. This is an archetype wine, representing some of the very best drinking that Australia has to offer. Try a bottle now and stash the rest away for another 8 or 10 years.

If there is one wine you buy this year - make it this one. With the potentially high James Halliday points shortly to be awarded, the chances of this wine being discounted ever again are slim!

To place your order simply reply to this email with your desired quantity.

If you would like to know a bit more about the wine please request a call and I will be in touch as soon as possible.
Anybody else receive this? Any clues as to what it is pls?
