I must say I'm looking forward to the day when little provincial backwaters like Tassie get Click & Collect finally offered to them :-|

Saw these in local DM's last night, unpriced then "But going on sale soon - " LANGHORNE CREEK" -has produced some delicious wines, bit soon, but anyone tasted this ?

Cleanskin GR11, 95 points, $50/6.

(Picked up a Talisker10yr old@$69, saw it at $99 in a local supermarket this week)

I haven't tried this one but might pick up a bottle. I have learned (the hard way!) to completely ignore the DM ratings. Their GR10 Heathcote Shiraz (94 points) was, to me, a simple, jammy fruit bomb that I was glad to get rid of.

Haven't bought any DM cleanskin before. No clue as to it's origin.
Well I picked up Talisker Storm last Dec for $70 from DM. Maybe a separate for whisky.

Thanks gents, suspect the advice is quite right, interested in any reports though :)

The odd very good cleanskin red has been reviewed on DM's, last one I tried started round this money and ended at round $5 or $6, not good
at all. My review wouldn't have helped it !

That was just after DM opened in Sale, VIC.

edit..might have been the GR3, the review reads like mine at the time, use different
name on reviews now.

DM McLaren Vale Shiraz $149 is back, featuring Chapel Hill Vicar, 111 Associates Squid Ink and Shottlesbrook Eliza Shiraz.

I must say it mostly reads like a pretty classy 6-pack for the cash....

Or a classy 4-pack with a couple of made-for-DM quaffers (Dragon's Blood, Nessus). Not necessarily bad value if that's the sort of mix you're looking for.

On a somewhat related note, I've never figured out whether all the made-for-someone-or-other RRP-circa-$11 Gemtree wines are the same thing or not. Black Jade, Tiger's Eye, Dragon's Blood, SacredTree "Select Vines", etc. I'm hesitant to try any of them, given RedBigot's comments about the Black Jade, and only encouraged by the goodwill their Uncut shiraz has earned from me (but its RRP is almost double those). Anyone have any opinions/intel?
