Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Hey W&D,

Happy to lend a hand with some advice! I have been a long time admirer of the Zonte's Chocolate Factory. I buy it buy the case at wine direct. I wasn't aware of the 2015 at DM's but $150 a case is outstanding! The 2012, 2013 and 2014 vintages of Chocolate Factory were sublime, so I expect this one to be no different.

RE the pack, I'd buy that dozen just for the Murray Street Shiraz! Amazing gear!

Wow thanks for the detailed response WineNot! The Zonte's just sounds so attractive it's calling out to me (especially at that kind of price) but then the Winedirect pack at the same price is very seductive as well, decisions, decisions....

For those that enjoy the BWS deleted lines lottery it appears Stella Bella has been added to the list if you can find them. Prices were $37.80 for Suckfizzle Cab Sav, $23.80 for normal Cab Sav (think the Chardy was about the same price as well) & also found Rosily The Cartographer for $16.80. Add the 25% off for 6 or more & the prices are getting pretty sharp imo.

If you want a wine direct pack, have a look at this one. i bought it a while ago and there is not a weak point to it. Ben Riggs knows how to make wine! there are a few zontes wines in here and the lino ramble is an incredible gsm.

Apologies if I missed this but was there a discount code or promo for a first time WineStar purchase at all? Cheers...

That's certainly a stellar offering WineNot, having just boomed on the Parous on VM and with a Cellarmasters voucher* waiting in the wings I'm in a bit of a dither buying-wise!

*thanks to the largesse of a fellow AFFer (you know who you are....;))

With $400 to spend you could do 6xRH and 4x IS

If you want something special, 3 x Mount Mary is $405. Or there is a Henschke Cab Sauv or Woodlands CS, or Cullen DM, or

Langtons aren't really a go-to for cheap quaffers. You're better off at DM for that.

But at 50% off you can get some decent high-end Aussie stuff like Diana Madeline or Clonakilla, or go a bit off-piste and get some Bordeaux, Champagne, Burgundy or Barolo. They have a decent selection, and at 50% off you probably won't find cheaper elsewhere.

Otherwise they have the Turkey Flat 2014, Tolpuddle Pinot etc that are in the 2016 Halliday Top 100.

But for mine, given you have $350, I'd look for 3 x bottles around the $120 mark (use the search function and limit teh price to $100-150), or 6 x around the $60 mark, and get a few things you wouldn't otherwise buy, but get good reviews. Won't take up much space, but hopefully should reward you in a few years time.

Called and got myself a broker. Send me PM with your details Steady, they said you get something for referring :)

I have posted info on the Langton's referral benefit in the Referrals thread if anyone is interested

I don't drink Pinot but know some of you guys like it.

Don't knock the Berri better than some of the VM bottled offerings.
