Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Aaaagh the deals keep coming this time of the year, seems I am gifting myself xmas presents...

Been offered some back vintage Wolf Blass - Black Label CSM 03 & 07 or Platinum Label 04 & 06 - not had much WB experience

Anyone had any experience of these? Any better than the other?

Would you guys grab a twin pack of Penfolds 389 & 407 for $100? (I got a $50 cellarmasters voucher)...nothing else on the website catches my eye.
Looking to cellar for a long time.

The CR % seems to come off the ex gst price before the voucher had been deducted - also a bonus

If I hadn't already gone in heavy on the 389 I'd probably dip again at that price point. It's a cracking vintage this year and should age well.

The old Dr Ralph, surely? :)

Great price though!

I do need to update this thread:

http://www.australianfrequentflyer....rs/i-have-opposite-oenophobia-need-78809.html

But I can report here that since I started that thread in October, around about 1000 bottles have left my cellar.

Seems that once you to a trade deal with one restaurant another one wants in on the action. And word quickly spreads. I don't think I'll need to pay for a meal in Wollongong for at least 12 months!

I've also had quite a lot of private sales. With very happy customers.

Given this 1000 bottle deduction surely I can add a few back into the cellar?

Great work Doctor! You've definitely earned yourself a few buys after all that..

Ok sounds like its a goer - done!

edit: got my voucher from here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/278619#comment-4227154
when I signed up on the 27th Nov - (I didn't have to spend anything)
Not sure if it's still working or not

T&Cs seem to indicate that voucher can't be redeemed on Twin packs.
The 389 and 407 together are considered a twin pack on their website.

"^$50 off wine valid for use on wines priced at $120 or more in one new transaction unless otherwise specified. Voucher can only be used on wine case purchases (excludes single bottles, twin packs, 6-packs, Buy 2 Get 1 Free and Click Frenzy offers) and cannot be redeemed on beer, cider or spirits"

baiden...If you read back through this thread even over the past 4 - 6 weeks you will see that T&C's sometimes do not mean a great deal.

I have also mentioned a few times on here that CM codes nearly always work with their website.. You just have to try.. Do a dummy purchase and see it regularly deducts off singles, twin packs and and 6 packs etc etc ...Many on here have benefited greatly... as usual YMMV
