Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

This secret deal Shiraz Cabernet 2009 6 pack from McWilliam's looks interesting ("Winner of four trophies and numerous gold medals ... Drinking well now but will reward up to another 15 years with careful cellaring") $180 for members + $10 delivery (normally $300). With a code it works out to $130 + $10 delivery. Unfortunately there's no indication of region making it difficult to work out the identity. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do the wineries sell them the stock on the down low? Or [probably] secondary market somewhere?

Wendouree never does this. They are from the secondary market. This is one of the reasons wendouree has a 6 bottle limit on shiraz.

The eBay shops of Wine Market, Boutique Cellar, Cracka Wines, Cellar Market, Good Drop and Graysonline are now on a 20% sales, just use code “CORK20” at checkout, ends 11 December.

Just tried a dummy and CORK20 for Cracka for following message "Voucher expired/invalid."
The case in question is Jim Barry Watervale Riesling which has just won some awards. Note on Cracka it is $20.99 and on Dans it is just $14.95/6. Be careful, it is a jungle out there.

Oops. Just noted it says the "ebay" shops.

Are you guys worried with shipping wine in hot weather?
Will 6 hrs in the back of a hot van @ 30+ degrees 'cook' the wine?

Yes I worry about shipping in hot weather. I use the rule of thumb that if I wouldn't put chocolate through the conditions, I won't put my wine through it.

Ok thanks, might hold off on wine purchases
I'm new to wine, but notice my work place is at the end of the run of the aussie post courier and my stuff arrives very warm :S
