Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Cellarmasters have St Henri 2 pack at $190.

With $50 off, CR & gift card this comes down to just over $60 a bottle.

Has been receiving some mixed reviews, but IMO this is because it is less oaked and doesn't conform to what one may expect from a premium Penfolds wine (oaked to buggery).

I've tried this one, and IMO it deserves the accolades. Great wine, great value.

It's amazing how so many "lesser" wines from the same winery are better than the "elite" counterparts. I am no expert but a little underwhelmed by the 2013 'Generation' Shiraz.

Purchased recently from Cracka and surprised when about 4 days later I receive a text from mypost to say I could expect delivery on Tuesday 29. I logon to mypost and sure enough it has arrived at the local post centre at 2.01am. Now a week later and email to Cracka, still no delivery and no response from cracka either. They mustn't have driven it around enough.

Don't forget these have been under $50 in the last few weeks at Cellarmasters with the ubiquitous $50 off vouchers + WISH card discounts.

2012 or 2014?
Current release Bin 389 2014 was had for closer to $40 with the discounts..

Oh, that's where we are getting the 50/ bottle from . I guess cashrewards and wish cards would bring it down more - forgot about those ! Damn it

2014. Is that the best price for it now though?

The link quoted was for the 2012, which is not current release and unavailable for the sub $50 CM prices that have been mentioned in these recent posts.

Comparing different vintages is not quite apples to apples.

There is an interesting article on Winery Lane in the "Gourmet Traveller Wine" app that is worth reading - if you are a new customer buying a dozen ;)
