Been to Dan's - back home - first to post - does that mean I win?

I was actually back home at 19:23 $2,138.20 lighter - but after hanging out a load of washing then realised in my excitement at Dan's I left my phone there - so back I had to go to retrieve.

I'll make a list of what I bought and post it - if I show you mine will you guys show me yours?

We were also home by about 19:25 only to realize that the Saltram hadn't discounted while adding up the savings. Was just easier to drive back up and get a quick refund.

and Dr Ralph I think you were at my Dans and you didn't get all the Penfolds 138. I got 2 before you.

I must have taken what ever was left then...8 bottles in total of the BIN 138.

This is a significant problem that DM has. I constantly find problems with the addition/discounts in the total. In fact had a problem tonight with the discounted bottles as part of the sale. Told the cash register operator about it and they didn't believe me. Just claimed that the discount came off at the end. Got the manager to add the items up manually and then received an $11 cash refund. I'd say 90% of the time the total is wrong!

Yes, open to everyone else from 8pm. I doubt much left though. I can't see it being online either, store specific. Go to a Dan's in a depressed area and you should score big!

I'd have bought more if I could, especially given the current price for the latest release of the 138 is $29.90 and the fact that Penfolds says that it cellars until 2024.

I'm actually pretty impressed overall with what was on offer. Unlike most click frenzy stuff it did seem to be a reasonable sale. Just kicking myself that I didn't get there earlier and I wonder how many if any people were tipped off locally beforehand. One guy at my local apparently rang through $4K and he was nowhere to be seen when I arrived at 1910.

That's the plan! If id known I'd have picked a different store. Though of course I'm very happy with our bargains.
