Will hit Woden BWS up on Monday night and hope for the best though I've bought the Stonewell Shiraz from Mawson for around ~$33 a bottle after 10% for 6 (it was couple of weeks ago) and 5% off WISH cards applied. Dr Ralph and I managed to score some Filsell for ~$16 a pop last year though at $21 a bottle before WISH GC's discount is still cheaper than getting it from Cellar One.

Yep, I think the Filsell was close to $15 a bottle. I wont pay more than that price for it ever again.

I was also able to jump on that deal for the '14 and a similar one the year before on the '13.

Just bought a couple of bottles of 2014 Philip Shiraz for $14.20 pre-GC let me see what's the fuss is about. Found some Henry's Seven for $24 a bottle, didn't pull the trigger on that one though.

Went by a few BWS and only Eastland (Ringwood) had anything worthwhile.

They had at least 6 x Moss Wood 2011 for $91, which works out to approx $68 with the 25% off for any 6.

Picked up 6 x Bests Bin 1 Shiraz for a touch over $15.

I should clarify, there were at least 6 Moss Wood AFTER my visit in case anyone is interested.

None of the deals qaz has posted on the '14 Moss Wood are still available- looks like Langton's / MWG are it.

The only Langton's discounts I know of are;
If you have the Harvey Norman offer on an Amex you could buy a $750 mygift2u card and save $43.05
or/and
if you have a Vintec, and haven't already done so already, you should be able to get a Langton's credit

MWG have expanded their 10% off BIGTRUCK sale to include Moss Wood, making it $103.50 excluding delivery, cheaper than using a $30 coupon

That's what I've done with my Moss Wood ended up $82 a bottle. Can't wait for the next Winestar or Boccaccio offers.

Visited my local BWS hoping to pick up some discounted discontinued line.
But could only find i red the "Chapel Hill Shiraz" A little disappointed that no other discontinued reds at at good price. It is a relatively new store so maybe that is the reason.

I visited five stores hoping to find something. Only significant discount I found was Hardys HRB down to $29 before 25% off discounts. BWS mark up pretty high to start with eg Xanadu Cab Sav now $40/btl, 389 was 2 for $160, Filsell was 2 for $75, Blass Grey label 2 for $70, think the Moss Wood Cab Sav was even $140 ! Very hard to get excited about these prices.

Read my post above - some items may not be ticked clearance but in my state as least the clearance items scanned at the lower price even if it was not ticked . The moss wood should of been on clearance .

So how do you know what's going under clearance?

I went to three stores and one store was ticketed. Other 2 weren't - I asked them to scan some products and they all scanned at the lower price. I took some pics of what was on sale and posted it as well...no moss wood premium anywhere in canberra but other people posted it was on clearance.

edit: you don't know what's on clearance unless someone posts here or you find a store where the manager gives a **** and tickets the items like they are meant too.

I went to one store and allegedly all clearance items were ticketed - 2013 Leconfield Cab Sav was best on offer at $24.50 but that is no serious bargain - I might try a couple more morrow.

One store I went to in a more socially challenged area had no clearance tickets. I asked the worker you got anything on clearance- dumb blank stare 'whatever is ticketed is the price'.
i tested the moss wood Amy and henscheke and they both scanned at the lower price

You weren't by chance at the Bulli bws? Chapel hill 2014 Shiraz 18.75, not exactly setting the world on fire.

Yes at the Bulli BWS. I don't often go to that store, but went to have a look after reading here. I always find Dans has better prices.

No worries.. some 2014 Bin 389 appeared which I grabbed for $49pb. Would have been $47 if I could click & collect!
