Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

I bought a few Wynns V&A shiraz 2009. Never tried this wine, but at $35 it was a good price.

What year boomy and price?

Didn't take a copy of the list this time but I believe it was the 09 for $35.90.
They also had a couple of 08 Chardonnays left but as much as I think their Chardonnays are amazing, still couldn't bring myself to pay over $70 for a bottle of white.

DM Casula still well stocked: Dalwhinnie, Mount Langi Ghiran, Katnook Oydessy etc all plenty of bottles left. I cleaned out the Prodigy and Octavius though :)

Edit: Large quantities of the $20-30 options as well but that seems to be common everywhere I've been. Popped into Kingsford but was called away just as i got there. That store didn't seem to have much left.

More picks today from another store - plenty left, but the popular choices are gone for the most part:

Wynns CSM 2009 ($13.90)
D'arenberg D'arrys Original 2009 ($13.90)
Hardys Tintara Cab Sav 2010 ($16.90)
Seppelt Chalambar Shiraz 2007 ($17.90)
Metala Cab Shiraz Malbec 2009 ($9.90)
Tar & Roses Shiraz 2010 ($14.90)

PS - One scanned wrong due to new barcode (blue sticker) not being on there so watch carefully at checkout!

When you say the popular stuff is gone, do you mean the premium stuff? And the list is what's left or what's gone? And which store?

Popular stuff as in the Penfolds mentioned in this thread, for example. They still had Grange listed. ;) This store had about 6-7 pages of stuff because it was a bigger store - list was current as of yesterday but some things I wanted that were listed weren't found on shelf anymore. PM if you're in Melbourne and want store name (says you're in Sydney).

Shhhhhhhhhhh keep quiet :p I've cleaned out the St Henri there. Went to the Macarthur Square store and pretty much all the good stuff don't exist there. Got told an amazing story about a gentlemen went around all the Sydney stores and managed to steal quite a sizeable stash of St Henri's from Dan. Narellan/Carnes Hill are same as Marcathur - good stuff never really existed despite what the online store says.

Yeah true that. Got most of the things I'm after, possibly another bottle of Mount Langi and Art Series Cab then I'm done.

Some people just don't want others getting the deals, it's an attitude that is becoming mor prevalent.

Have a read at my post #859. I did say Casula is pretty well stocked and that was before AnonymousCowards mentioned it so how am I don't want others getting the deals? Perhaps maybe my post #871 got taken out of the context despite the :p?

Grabbed a 97 Mt Langi Ghiran Langi Shiraz this morning and opened tonight too. Really loved it. Not that I'm great at describing wine but great wine and great company.
