Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Just received my box of Wynns Black label Cabernet 2015....only to have received a box of 2013. This is exactly why I dont send my hard earned dollars to DM anymore. The last 3 orders they have given me have contained a vintage of a wine I did not order (contacted them prior to ordering to make sure they send the correct wine). Utterly useless.

Is this the correct thread to talk about Cellarmasters Vouchers? I received $25 voucher in mail today - are these any value?

I received a $30 one today and put it into the bin. Conditions were that I'd need to spend at least $120 and only valid on at least a dozen.

Oh man, that sucks. On some wines, it's ok to get a couple of back vintages, but not an entire case around the highly promoted wynssday!!

Disgraceful eBay and GraysOnline:

Just received an email from them that teh product was sold out. IN fact, I was one of the first who made the purchase. Very disappointed:

Product: Teusner `Avatar'` Grenache Mataro Shiraz 2014 (6 x 750ml), Barossa Valley, SA.

Thank you for your recent purchase with GraysOnline eBay.

It is with much regret I advise that we are unable to fulfil your recent purchase listed above.

Due to a technical error causing a stock discrepancy, we have sold out of the product. A refund of xx_ is in the process of being completed and funds will be transferred back to you via your original payment method.

No worse than the flogs at Qantas Epiqure - they didn't send the $58 2008 WB Black Label because it got 'damaged in transit' - crock of s**t - but what d you do?

Send it back for a refund and don't take any **** about their vintage disclaimer.

Have experienced exactly the same Rocket09. Despite contacting my local DM "Click & Collect" prior to ordering, and being reassured said vintage was in stock, have had 4 or more occasions when an extraneous vintage has been awaiting collection and the wine ordered unavailable. This pisses me off when the round trip is over an hour! Refuse to deal with them any more.

I'd ignore grays and try another online wine merchant such as nicks or auswine ($168 + $12shipping to melb).

That happened to me a couple of times last year on click and collect. The wines advertised were clearly of a specific vintage but that's not what was in the box. I actually got them to search the store for the correct vintage after pointing out the offer in their catalogue, to no avail. With the Wynns offer, I drove to the store and picked the bottles myself. Even so the manager tried to sell me the 2013 instead, using the cap end of a 2015 to tap on the cap end of a 2013 as a pointer.

Disgraceful DM.....
Happened to me many times as well...I remember once after making follow up inquiries that an actual vintage advertised was not available in the whole of SA...lol
Their vintage variation policy is the biggest bull out there and I'm convinced that they use it as an excuse to flog off old stock left overs

Send it back for a refund and don't take any **** about their vintage disclaimer.

It had 2015 in the title, so I was under the impression you get that particular vintage? I thought only wines with no stated vintage year and an * next to vintage in the description fell under the disclaimer.

Is there a halliday score for the '15 black label yet? My book & membership will arrive today

If they advertise a specific vintage in the title, list a vintage as current vintage in the product details, even with an * and all the disclaimers they like you do not have to accept a different vintage.

I've never had any problems declining to accept at collection or getting them to take back a different vintage at their shipping expense. And it's been a long time since anyone from DM tried to use the disclaimer angle.

If more people stood up for their rights and complained as well as not taking the wrong vintage I reckon it would cost them less money to implement a policy of not sending a vintage different to that ordered, or contacting the customer first.

I recently ordered from DM on eBay (with a decent eBay code) and a 6-pack arrived (in ACT) from somewhere in QLD with the wrong vintage and they sent a postage label to have it sent back to the store in QLD. They had problems with the refund process and I eventually got the full price back without the discount deducted.

Yes I agree, I ordered 3 x Moss wood 2012 it was I think, on DM ebay. When I went to pickup it was the 2011 versions. I Showed them the receipt showing it should of been 2012. They went and looked for it out the back couldn't find it, so gave me a refund of the price on the reciept - $115. But I did use 3 x $30 voucher on the order.. hmmm
