Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Interesting, thanks. Their site says they use Fastway, a negative for me as they are consistently awful in the ACT.

Many small start up e-tailers will work with wholesalers/distributors and/or producers to ship directly rather than hold their own stock, keeps the overheads down. Via a quick look at the brands, possibly this distributor: Wholesale Wines | Nelson Wine Co. | Prime Wines

When I was talking to Tom he said my wine would be delivered by AP. (To Tassie)

I just got this email from him - it is quite a lengthy catalogue with more labels then I noticed online

Hi Steady,

Thank you for your order, very much appreciated.

I thought our full portfolio might be of interest to you, see attached.

If ever we can help please feel free to get in touch.

Happy Drinking, Tom Nelson

I contacted Tom and he was happy for me to post here.

Hi birdyzone

We are working away getting vintages added and confirming pricing in the portfolio and online.
The pricing online is correct although we have alot of product yet to be added to the site.
By the end of April, we aim to have all vintages visible online and our portfolio will be matching nicely.
We have approx another 500 products to upload so appreciate your understanding.
If there is anything specific your keen on id be happy to confirm vintage and price.
Appreciate your business.
Kind Regards, Tom Nelson
Smash Vino
I think I guessed the Distributor correctly, Tom Nelson features in their sales contact list and an Alan Nelson is Managing Director.

I wonder what their other customers will think of them effectively becoming a retailer as well as wholesaler.

Our fastway guy is great. I noticed the fastway aswell, hence why I didnt have order sent to my aus post parcel collest address, yet it turned up via aus post eparcel. Maybe they changed couriers?

One can only hope. But I'll check first before I order.

Fastway is very dependent on individual franchisees and drivers, my experience in ACT over many years is consistently negative, Nicks and Glug will deliver to me via Auspost rather than their default Fastway.

Is there an expiry date nominated for the code?

30% off code for Smashvino. Ive only used them once previously. They have a few Tuesner wines, for those interested. Maybe something of interest to others.

CODE: SMASHINGBOTTLES
Thanks Chonka I picked up a mixed 6pack not a bad range. Also the owner sent me a full catalogue of the range, quite impressive and the discount code makes it worth buying, otherwise their prices are similar to most eshops; Cheers Rug

I grabbed the 8 CH available and topped up with 4 BS to get the doz price.

Smashvino now back to 20% - I am trying to call them to see if I can squeeze 30% for a doz Art Series.

Thanks a million qaz for your input - you are a star!

These aren't super deals, but great prices for these already very reasonably priced wines.

Both have already received some glowing reviews recently (both 95 HH)

Couldn't agree more. Wine is first class and have ordered twice now. These guys are a pleasure to buy from and the shipping free which is absolutely incredible considering their volumes are too low for special rates. I noticed the delivery cost to Epsilon on my order was a shocking $85.50.

I concur. I ordered a case after reading Hookeys review. Amazing wine.

For the fans of 375ml bottles for keeping left overs fresh. Cellar one has St Hallett Blackwell Shiraz 2015 375ml x12 for $163.70 or $20 less for new joiners. Pretty solid wine at the price plus value added with the reusable bottle.

What Looked interesting is the Tintara Tinta Mole Touriga Grenache 2012 for $66 delivered for 6, so I grabbed some. Always up for something different!

DM has St Henri 2014 for $85, CashRewards has upped DM cashback on wine to 10.5% (today only), with the gift card discount this brings it down to $72 a bottle.

Not a bad price.

Other bargains to be had using the usual gift card / CR trick.
