Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

DM has St Henri 2014 for $85, CashRewards has upped DM cashback on wine to 10.5% (today only), with the gift card discount this brings it down to $72 a bottle.

Not a bad price.

Other bargains to be had using the usual gift card / CR trick.
Same bottle :
125$ on QF-EPIQURE website free shipping. Minimum 2 bottles

For the fans of 375ml bottles for keeping left overs fresh. Cellar one has St Hallett Blackwell Shiraz 2015 375ml x12 for $163.70 or $20 less for new joiners. Pretty solid wine at the price plus value added with the reusable bottle.
Drop me a message or one of the other worthy crew if you need a referral
Cheers Birdyzone

Until 11am AEST tomorrow, Blackwell is $12.50, with Faith $6 - both cheaper than the equivalent full-size bottles (referral thread)

Indeed it is, matches JH completely. I recall it on offer before (WM?) but can't recall vintage or price.

2016 $15 still available

Bought 2, I only start collecting a while ago, but have 2 x 2010 St H - so looking forward to comparing in 10 and 20 years time

Cellarmasters along with the Myer wine club transition are sending out $50 dollar wine voucher, the catch is purchase has to be a minimum of 120.

Did click and collect St Henri 6 pack. Went to collect and found a cardboard box with 6 bots, 4 in original tissue and 2 without.o_O
Said sorry, but I want the wood box. Staff went off and returned with a wood box. o_O
Sorry to be fussy but want an unopened wood box.
Staff returned a bit later with new unopened box.
All happy. :):)

Hi Qaz, was this a targeted offer for the extra 5%? Rarely visit BWS/Woolworths but have a Woolworths rewards card. Can't see anything on their website or in my email

Secret Selections Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon 2009

I know that this has been mentioned previously, but I wanted to (re)confirm that this is definitely the Grant Burge Shadrach.

Collected several cases earlier this week. Tried a bottle tonight. Very happy for the price.

and I can re-re-confirm. Bought a few bottles to 1st confirm then 1/2doz which comes in a nice box.
BTW, Dans at Thornleigh (Sydney) seems to stock a lot of the "Secret Selections" so if you live/commute nearby, as I do sometimes, you can click and collect /buy even just 1 of whatever you suspect might be interesting from there, to confirm.

Stop Press: Houghton Jack Mann Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 $64.82 @ Cellar One (excludes $20 referral credit, Brookland Valley Estate Cabernet Merlot 2014 still $24.50)

For those who missed my comment here, I recently discovered vermentino and find it a nice alternative to riesling and chardonnay, a welcome change from pinot grigio/gris and sauvignon blanc for others - Winebubble have Marchesi Mazzei Belguardo Vermentino 2016 at $23.72 (Vivino 3.5) with 15OFFNOW for 15% off (referrals)

If you'd rather red Tuscans, then Parri Chianti Riserva Montespertoli DOCG 2015 (GW94) is at WineStar for $23.99, whilst Dynamic Wines have Fontodi Chianti Classico 2015 for $66.99 (Vivino 3.8)

However, knowing that some here prefer Piemonte, Gary Walsh has just started publishing his reviews on Winefront of 2013 Produttori del Barbaresco Riservas and given Asili 97pts, Rabaja 96+, in line with other critics - Wine Decoded reprint some of the reviews and have them at $135 or $130/bt for all nine crus:
They also have 2010 Cavallotto Barolo Riserva Bricco Boschis Vigna San Giuseppe at $235-$255:
  • CellarTracker 94.3
  • Vivino 4.2
  • Monica Larner, The Wine Advocate 97 Points
  • Bruce Sanderson, Wine Spectator 97 Points
  • Antonio Galloni, Vinous 95 Points
Finally, for something Spanish, consider Clos Mogador 2015 - 97pts Luis Gutierrez (Wine Advocate) & Andrew Jefford (Decanter) - $163.99 at Dynamic Wines

Winestar have the Allegiance Unity available for $30, I'd buy some if I hadn't just placed an order for the Shadrach...

First choice is having a sale called "click Frenzy" Not much on offer, but these may tempt.

2006 Piper Heidsieck $52.5 Piper Heidsieck Vintage Brut 750mL | First Choice Liquor
NV Piper Heidsieck Rose $52.5 Piper Heidsieck Rose Sauvage NV 750mL | First Choice Liquor
2013 Chablissienne Chablis $27 Chablisienne Chablis 750mL | First Choice Liquor

The Chablis represents consistent value my books, 2013 being an average year, but it overperforms.

I noticed the Penfolds St. Henri (2008?) was there for the blink of an eye (came back at $60 a bottle from memory)
