Anyone know this wine?

This Cabernet Shiraz Blend has a brick red colour with rich, complex aromas displaying dark berries, cherry, chocolate and liquorice undertones. Expect full-bodied flavour of cassis and blackberry supported by hints of pepper and spice. Pair it with some roasted lamb and vegetables or try it with a selection of cheeses and dried fruits

Interestingly, cellar door has The Reverend Canon for $75 and The Thing for $150, whilst DM has them for $23 and $42 respectively (2015 vintage). Is The Thing worth it?

Looks like it was a mistake, The Thing is now back to $150 per bottle. I had it in my cart but didn't press the buy button because the other wine I wanted to buy (Monterra Cab Temp for $7.90) went out of stock...oh well...

Both of mine are still on their way having only been shipped Thursday.

Out of interest, why did no one go for the bin 138 on cellarmasters when the bin28 sold out? Anyone got any info on it as seems people avoided? Thanks in advance

Not too long ago BIN 128, BIN 28 and BIN 138 all used to be an identical price. There's just no reason now why the 138 should be $10 more a bottle.

I Is The Thing worth it?

Yep.

From memory earlier vintages of The Thing have been secret deals for around the $50 mark.

Mm - have you been overindulging - I've been getting lots of emails from Dan's lately asking me if I need to stock up but I've been two timing him and just picked up my Cellarmaster's order (including a new gin)

Temping to try and take a bottle off your hands @Cruiser Elite. Happy to offer $50 because that gives you a fair profit and still well below what I’d pay.

Down in MEL on Thursday 17th and Friday 18th. Happy to meet up or alternatively if you’re away, if you can get it to @TomVexille or @blackcat20, I’m catching up with them during my trip.

Happy to pay you via direct credit or leave money with them. Do we trust them?

Hey cobber - I was seriously joking - I paid $26.86 for these - you can have any number up to 6 at that price as my special ‘Suck up to a Moderator’ offer.

Trust BC? Unequivocally - trust Tommy? Yeah right!
