Hmm yes, just double checked. The order I had should be valid, but it seems that it does not count towards any of the Secret Selections wines, which it doesn't say are excluded in the terms and conditions. I will have to contact them!

I went with 6 Cake wines Cabernet on spec as I'm after every day drinkers.
Seemed worth a punt at less than 68 delivered for a 6 pack

This Dans promo was totally targeted - top level was indeed $35/$350 - I spoke to Dans online yesterday and registered formal complaint that I did not receive any offer - seriously spend a shoot load at Dans annually - we will see if any response.

Probably so - but I did make sure they included in feedback that I was tossing up spend $1K at Dan's or FC - the $35 would have pulled me to Dan's but offer not rcvd so I am off to FC - as I said will be interesting if receive any response. More a fishing exercise than anything.

I saw your review on CellarTracker and wasn’t very hopeful.

But I’ve been lucky so far... 2/10 bottles and both have been good.

But I suspect it’s past it’s peak and I’ll be getting through the remaining 8 bottles reasonably soon.

Langtons have/will refund to my credit card. I would have preferred the wine was drinkable though.

The Brookman CabSav 2013 from Dan's wasn't to my liking either. There was an overpowering bitterness to it that never improved even on the second night. Made it very difficult to drink. Lucky only bought 6. The Hickinbotham Syrah deal was awesome though.

Must be some variation as the Brookman 2013 and the Hickinbotham Grenache 2013 I received are very good, the Brookman particularly lovely.

I'm struggling to see the point of a member pre sale of something that's in no danger of selling out anyway.
And their Pre-sale pricing looks to be 10% more than the current vintage pricing.

I've not been able to find value in Penfolds for some years now aside from the occasional discount stacking or clearances.
