Bought 3x WB Plat from VC CBR last night, $59.95 a bottle. I think there was a single bottle of Mount Mary but one on the first day. There's not much else there if anyone's wondering other than 5x 2015 Octavius for $59,95.
I have been after the 2010 recently for a birthday in 2 years time. Does anyone know how the 2015 compares (The Octavius btw)?Bought 3x WB Plat from VC CBR last night, $59.95 a bottle. Bass Phillip a polarising Pinot; if you like your pinot dirty then you will probably enjoy (maybe even a bit bretty).Hi guys I am trying to find a special wine for my fathers 70th this year. This is not a man who is lacking in good quality wine.
Any recommendations or things outside the box - was trying to find a 1950 Para port - but that is almost impossible - with only 100 ml options for lots of money (rip-off).
was thinking maybe the Bass Philips premium Pinot Noir. has anyone had this? is it worth it?
Any other tips?
Thanks.

Langtons have a Wynns Black Label 1970 available at auction, unlikely to be good but could be worth a try. They often have birthday sales which go into back vintages. I think at 50 years old you will be paying a rip off amount just for provenance. Arguably any amount of money on a poorly stored wine would be a waste.
Good luck in your search.

The points eventually turn up.I still haven't got my points from the last 2 flybuy deals, has any body had this issue before?
Not much in VC North Adelaide either, just saw a WB Platinum for $84 but that doesn’t seem great compared to what others have found elsewhere!
Have you checked Grays?Hi guys I am trying to find a special wine for my fathers 70th this year. This is not a man who is lacking in good quality wine.
