Thanks for reminding me, I received a Cashrewards offer of $10 cashback on $50 purchases. My purchase effectively cost me $31 for a bottle that was marked down from $62 to $51... Do I also get the 10%? Either way it's still happy days..

I think the last 3 bottles of St Peters I've purchased have been $25, $28 and $33 respectively.

Suddenly $38 seems dear!😆
Nice! Where'd you get those prices?

And imho drinking 2017 st peters now is too young! I try to give good shiraz at least 5 years before opening. I find (and of course this is personal choice) they taste too closed before then and they open up beautifully with a little bit more time...

Cellardoor also. Think one was with a birthday voucher and another was when they sent a voucher for their revamped website

I don't know about you guys, but there seems to be this sense of entitlement with DMs price match policy. Though we all like to try game the system, in this VC case, it should be with the expectation of failure. The policy requires a current advertisement, competitor stock availability, and location tests. While the latter two are rarely checked, a competent manager should at least require the former. And no, a price tag or receipt does not constitute an ad, it needs to be seen through another medium i.e. a catalogue or online website. So while there may be a few success stories this would often be attributed to managers discretion (to reach sales targets, clearing display space, etc). Just my 2 cents with dubious price matches: No expectations, No disappointment.

I hope no one here gets upset over this, there are far more important things in life to worry about. Regardless if the price match is legit or not it’s important to always be nice when asking and believe me it will pay off. At one store the duty manager said she is aware of FC and VC clearance sale and DM don’t normally match clearance items but she will do it just this time for one bottle. With that positive attitude I couldn’t leave the store with just that one bottle, got some other stuff making it win win for everyone :)

which is

Has anyone tried this? Seems to be a Rolf Binder Export label. I do like a Shiraz/Mataro blend. Rated 95 JH but I cant see any notes in his current book except that the label is only available at the Cellar Door & Overseas. Back in October it was $27 so its came down a bit since then.
Might be one to wait until an increased cashback offer.
