Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Has anyone tried this? Seems to be a Rolf Binder Export label. I do like a Shiraz/Mataro blend. Rated 95 JH but I cant see any notes in his current book except that the label is only available at the Cellar Door & Overseas. Back in October it was $27 so its came down a bit since then.
Might be one to wait until an increased cashback offer.
I like it, have bought small quantities a couple of times, tried to get some more when 20% off on eBay, but they wouldn't ship it to me.
Lovely dark colour, full soft palate, restrained oak, nicely balanced. Good deal at just under $22 though, I bought at the $26.90 price.
The VE Kraft Mataro Grenache 2016 (sold out now it seems) was not as good, a bit forward and lightweight.

thanks for the feedback redbigot

Brian, do you know if it is the same as, or similar to, the Bulls Blood?
Definitely not the same and not up there in structure and complexity with the Bulls Blood, which is made with the pressings portion.
I forgot to ask Rolf about it when we were there in March, so I don't know the back story, I don't remember it being offered at the winery.

From memory, i think 'Hubris' was the export label for Bulls Blood. I've picked up a few '04/'05 magnums from Langtons previously, and why i didn't hesitate to snap up the 2009 Bulls Blood at Dan's last week

note that this is the first time in years that Penfolds wines have not been excluded from a CellarDoor.co promotion - makes Penfolds Grandfather Rare Tawny $55 :)

Mount Mary for $20?! Where??
The link shows photo of Cape Mentelle.

yes, sorry, false alarm, my bad - I did mean CM, unfortunately not MM :(

a week ago I saw there is coldstream Deer Farm Pinot 18 in cellardoor, but now it's gone. why is taken off from the website? if sold out it should be have a "sold out" tag.

Booo! So I narrowly missed the window? Is it much good?
Certain Seppelt and Saltram products, probably best pricing on market. Wolfblass and Wynns sometimes has decent cellar releases, but otherwise DMs is better. Penfolds.... is Penfolds pricing. The rest is the reason why TWE ends up on AFR and SMH 🤭.

But they do give those gift packs every half a year if you meet a minimum spend which is nice. Its a single referral a year i think?

I think the last 3 bottles of St Peters I've purchased have been $25, $28 and $33 respectively.

Suddenly $38 seems dear!😆
So do what I did and order the Bin 51 for $9.90 - I wasn't cheeky enough to grab the Coldstream Chardonnay for $4....
