Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Lloyd Brothers on sale. Really quite good and at current prices great value. Can vouch for the Mataro, Grenache and Shiraz (unfortunately out of stock awaiting new vintage).
The Lloyd 2012 shiraz I bought a while back has a halliday drink by date of 2062!!

In theory, nobody should have an issue with deals from here being shared elsewhere - this is a public form with information freely available

In practice, there are three things to consider:

Consequences

As you mentioned, it was a long-running offer, however, unfortunately, any with no minimum spend/order requirement is always eventually cancelled/withdrawn/modified soon after appearing on OzBargain due to popularity or overuse/abuse

In this case, TWE has now apparently implemented a $100 minimum spend, which is obviously not as attractive or appealing for new customers

Hopefully birthday vouchers and CellarDoor.co will not be similarly affected

Timing

Again, given that it was a long-running offer, but there was the potential for orders to be cancelled due to the above consequences, waiting for members here to receive dispatch notifications before posting about it on OzBargain would have been preferable

Acknowledgement

I don't know your age, if or where you went to school, but it is common courtesy, generally accepted and standard practice, to state and give credit to the original source or basis of information, otherwise one might be seen as trying to pass it off as your own, which could be considered copyright infringement, theft or plagiarism
Thanks for the Vintec steer! Wish I'd had it when I forked out $600 to Langtons last week...

And this great lady, besides retopping the water jugs, makes a fine wine.
A blast from the past thats for sure...I don't know how i got back to this one but i had the 2012 DANDELION lionheart shiraz 2012 on saturday night, just after that shocking WA Fo shiraz wine. Well this lionheart was in a fo deal from memory and it was a nice wine then and now again. Much better than the WA of course, but back in the day, graysonline were promoting a Josef ziernik mclaren vale reserve 2012 shiraz which landed in at $7. The next part will interest you. It smashed both the WA hundred bucker and the lovely Zar Brooks made dandelion wine. killed em both easily.

One like this? It’s sitting on the top shelf just inside the cellar door with a couple of others that I was thinking must be ready by now...

Edenflo Lemon Krush 2020 - MB96 - $33 delivered direct (minimum $120 order) - price match @ Different Drop

So qaz, for those of us still catching up - to gain access I need to sign up for one of the @home tastings - then that's it - they automatically send a link to sign up to Maison One?

Where on the site do I register for the @home tastings? (I can only find private tastings) on the partner benefits page it only shows Riedel, Langtons, Scotch Malt Whiskey society and OENO app

Not quite - the only reason for being invited to join Maison One is because the @Home tasting is of their brand, Cloudy Bay

Vintec members received an email about the tasting - contact Alexis via [email protected]

Hard to win on this front - if you acknowledge AFF, then you get threatening messages asking why you're letting the genie that is AFF out of the bottle.

Such messages are perhaps more due to timing and consequences rather than acknowledgement - taking them into (better) account should help to minimise them

To reiterate:
In theory, nobody should have an issue with deals from here being shared elsewhere - this is a public forum with information freely available

If you want to post deals from here elsewhere, then I suggest that you consider the consequences of doing so

If the benefits outweight the costs, then timing is the next decision

When the time is right to repost, include an acknowledgement of the author and source

Simple :)

On Dan Murphy’s - and I know it’s been said - it has become a painful site to use. I think 60-70% of the under wraps wines are out of stock - at least to deliver in the ACT. Any tips on how to improve these odds?

My Penfolds deal arrived today :) I was worried about the heat as it’s predicted to be 31 degrees where I am but luckily it got delivered early whilst I was home.
You're lucky, here in Victoria it's taking weeks to get something delivered via Australia Post that would normally be a day or two...

Same here, I am still waiting for the Glen Eldon twisted trunk bottles that I ordered....

If you look back over the thread quite a few have had success setting up a parcel pickup at the local post office where the deal is available then instructing a free redirect through Aust post.

Works for store specific clearances too.

Anyone got an idea of the new JD Wines secret chardonnay?

Secret Wine # 213.

"Beautifully refined and elegant, the bouquet shows nectarine, rockmelon, nougat, lemon peel and vanilla characters. The palate is succulent and delightfully rounded, delivering excellent weight and concentration, backed by creamy mouthfeel and bright acidity. Wonderfully harmonious and balanced. At its best: now to 2023.."
