Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Credit to Ozbargain for alerting everyone to some likely price errors for Under Wraps... a few types down to $54/case of 6. Seems there's some star lane etc.

Bought some Pinot I hope is reasonable.

Curious to know if anyone can find this one? Great Southern Cab Sauv 2014 (was 64.99 now 14.88)
I think its this - Forest Hill Block 5
Thanks for any insight!.

Edit* Woweee - this is looking good. search clearance $9-$10
My gratitude, Wickad (albeit via Ozbargain).
Tasted Forest Hill Block 5 several times at Prince Wines Store and thought it was excellent.
Never expected to be able to get it at <$15.
Not so lucky with Block 8 Chardonnay which is also an exceptional drop. Hope someone here got some.

Biannual 'Unlocked Reward Box' from Cellardoor.co is on its way - I wonder what will turn up this time 🤔 :D

You have about a 90% better chance with Dans over anything related to Coles.
Yeah, that's what I thought as well. It's just that at sub $30 for the Red Queen, it was too good to be true and you know what they say when they say that!!!

Definitely quality at the 30-50 bracket, good when you can get them for less than $10.

Speaking of Coles.
I had ordered some Blackwells at Liquorland, called up to check if it had gone through because I received no notice within the 2 hours to pick up. Old mate on the phone says it didn't because they ran out of stock. He kindly finds a store nearby that has it. Cool.

He says wait a few more hours. I wait a few more hours, still no notification. I call up again, 'oh sorry it was a price error, we'll have to wait for upper management to decide if they honour the price'. Of course if I waiting for them to make a decision it would have been out of stock in the store so I just cancelled.

One of many too good to be true bargains offered and still to come this year. Red Queen RRP is generally very high but the 2014 vintage (which for some reason doesn’t feature on the winery’s award chart list) has been offered around $75 on multiple occasions. Still < $30 looks like great price even it’s a dud vintage.

I purchased it earlier in the year at about $50 expecting to get the 2015. I rang and spoke to Elena Brooks directly who said she thought the vintage was a low yield year and so not sent out to too many shows hence the awards are not on their site but recommended it as a great wine. She was right - it was delicious and so I bought some more today at <$30. Thank you DM's

For all those who took advantage of the DM Clearance today and purchased in the frenzy - go back and check your invoice. I just discovered I was charged full price (over $50) instead of $9 on a couple of wines. The system clearly didn't pick up all the discounts.
DM were great about it and rectifying now.
Well worth a second look now the frenzy is over 👀

Prices are back to usual - $9 wines are now OOS and they've reuploaded their wines at full cost (for what didn't sell out)

For those that took part - enjoy your wine - I look forward to some photos of your hauls!

Edit* Seems like you can still access the wines if you have a direct link. (Peter Drayton Anomaly)

Alternatively change the last 3 digits of this link to find some if you have the time:

546 $9 (was Austin & Co Geelong Pinot)
542 $9 malbec.
511 $9 tempranillo
