Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Ditto. There are invariably some very good deals to be had however consistency of stock over short periods (Wynns Black Label 2015, Moet, St Henri etc) combined with the short expiry make stocking up less enticing.

I purchased 3 vouchers, have 2 left after buying a case of Moet.
CM games of removing better wine stocks from sale when there are disc vouchers about is becoming so predicable that I just don't bother with them anymore ...

This has definitely been true in the past. But this is occurring less frequently. Recent examples of this not occurring include the Wynns Black label and Penfolds St Henri deals where the black label was around $15 and the St Henri around $45 a bottle.

Like the poster above me said, I really believe they run out of stock and then put it up when they get replenishments, that's certainly what happened with the St Henri.

Also, I managed to snare the '14 389 when they last had the spend $200 get $100 off.

Anyone else notice CM added a 'gift paper bag set' for $10. I cant see any other reason for that on the site except to cater for those who have been asking for a small item to push over the spend limit.

Anyone have thoughts/experience with the following:
2014 St Johns Road Block 3 (~$16.00)
2016 Ata Rangi Crimson (~$22.00)

Either worth hitting the "buy" with the Groupon + CR + Wish Card?

The St John's is on my short list for using up my 3rd Groupon voucher, having already snapped up some of the 08 Forest Hill shiraz and the St Henri. Also considering the Wynn's black label if it reappears, or one of the Kilikanoon options.

St John's road is a good buy, just needs some time in the cellar to balance the acid out.

Ata Rangi Crimson is a pale comparison to it's big brother, however, if you like your Pinot done in a cheap Burgundian style then it may please. Adequate if you feel like a slightly chilled red on a hot day.

“Rewards are not payable when used in conjunction with payment by a Groupon Cellarmasters Voucher or other third party promotional vouchers.”

Anyone else note the cash rewards down to 6.5% for cellar masters and above term?

Does anyone know if there is a difference between the two Lanson black labels on CM? Other than the price?

Lanson Black Label Brut NV

Lanson Black Label Brut Champagne NV

IIRC they had different photos previously, but I can't find anything to differentiate them. If its the same bubbles I may as well get the cheaper one!

I bought the 6 pack made up of 3 x Veuve and 3 x Lanson at Champagne 6pack for $201 click and collect after the groupon voucher

Great deal I think

Pure speculation, but suspect probably different base vintages. Another differentiator could be official verse grey import.

That could be it.

I just got an email from CR that they are up to 11% for Cellar masters so I might go the more expensive one!

Daaamn.... Good pick up Thor! That's a big old shame! I've had three already process, but I see now that they'll get rejected when they get processed in a months time--which has happened to me before with CR on different deals.

So don't factor in CR cashback when you're using your groupons people!

Also, I notice that the board doesn't have HEAPS of white wine talk, so I thought I'd just weigh in with a few people-pleasers that I've bought over the past few months:

2016 Kooyong Beurrot Pinot Gris from crackawines with a $50 voucher, plus 8.5% CR cashback is around $20 a bottle. I've bought it and it's a great, fresh, medium-bodied pinot gris, with a mixture of citrus first and other complementary flavours I lack the vocabulary for, that has a real good ending.

2016 Mesh Eden Valley Riesling also from cracka, that goes for the same price again with the relevant discounts -- $20 a bottle. I stock up on Mesh every summer and I feel bad about linking them to cracka because they probably see less profit than they deserve. It's got a great label, it's fresh and tasty and if you're having people over who like white it always gets mentioned. It's actually got a similar palette to the pinot gris I reckon, except there's that dry rieslingesque focus on acidity.

$20 a bottle for each of those is great I reckon. BUT I also think that with the CM deal at the moment:

Riversdale Estate Grown Tasmania Pinot Gris 2016 is unreasonably good value at around $11 a bottle. Particularly as a quaffer after you've enjoyed one or two slightly more upmarket whites.

Mockingbird Hill Polish Hill Clare Valley Riesling 2016 at around $14 a bottle is also too good to look past.

I'm not sure if either of these last two are special Cellarmasters brands or whatever, but they're just actually seriously GOOD wines that you will always be happy to drink. I am anyway, and I like to think that I'm relatively discerning without being a jerk. Anyway, that's just what I think! I would love to hear other people talk about what they like in white because I'd love a few recommendations!

Just got it as well - both Cracka and Cellarmasters are up to 11% for the weekend. Looks like they closed the loophole for Groupon within the past 24 hours. Pity, but that goose is now cooked

I've ordered two packs of the cheaper one, the bottles that arrived have the label of the more expensive listing, ie the 1760 version, not the one shown on the cheaper version. All have disgorge date 09/2015 on the back label.

These Lansons are imported by Pinnacle Wines a subsidiary of Woolworths, who own Cellarmasters. Doubtful to be grey import.
They could be different disgorgements/batches, the cheaper ones I ordered have the label shown in the more expensive listing and are all 09/2015 disgorgement.

Update: The second 6-pack ordered a few days after the first is disgorgement 10/2016, so some older stock being cleared, probably gone by now though.
