Pinots mainly, or light styles of wines.Anything in particular? White Red what region what variety?
Might help to narrow it down. What style of Pinot? Light, medium, fruity, earthy, region in Au NZ or outside of?Pinots mainly, or light styles of wines.
Wrong varietal for this price range imo - you should at least be in the 20-30 range and not necessarily be chasing crazy discounts.Im on the hunt to find solid Pinots for $10-20 of they exist, which I know is a stretch.
As an absolute bare minimum IMHO. And 100% agree re crazy discounts. The only free cheese is in the mousetrap.you should at least be in the 20-30 range
Their grenache is light and good. Good alternative to a light pinot at that price rangeThat doesn't help

I never really think of this, but I guess I have too now! I need to drink more!Might help to narrow it down. What style of Pinot? Light, medium, fruity, earthy, region in Au NZ or outside of?
Yeah, I agree! I have read the Mike Press & Tomic are very good and their around $15-18. I definitely know $20-30 should be the minimum and quality wine makers esp Pinot rarely discount.Wrong varietal for this price range imo - you should at least be in the 20-30 range and not necessarily be chasing crazy discounts.
Thanksif you buy 6 - it will be $32 per bottle
James Dominguez Cellars - today mail out
2018 Bannockburn Vineyards Geelong Pinot Noir @ $49.26
If on budget, I would still rather buy less bottles of Pinot Noir but would aim for quality - life is too short to drink cough Pinot Noir (or any wine for that matter)
Will stay away I guess. To each his own but Tread Softly drank like water to me
The standard Stonier isn't much better? The SVs are good but a lot of vintage variation and back in around the 30 mark.To each his own but Tread Softly drank like water to me
Had this recently, thought it was delicious drinking - cherries, spice, brambles, minerally and good acid on it.2018 Bannockburn Vineyards Geelong Pinot Noir @ $49.26

Yes, I have heard that the Grenache is quite good - I would not recommend the WA Cab - very fruit forward and not like other WA Cab's I have hadTheir grenache is light and good. Good alternative to a light pinot at that price range

Add me to this club too. I take visitors to the cellar door. They are generally left underwhelmed and baffled by the high price tags.I visited the winery a couple of years ago. Same with you, I don't understand why it deserves high prestige. But its single Viognier(not nouveau) is pretty outstanding,
I've booked a visit in June - this has me rethinking whether I should visit somewhere elseAdd me to this club too. I take visitors to the cellar door. They are generally left underwhelmed and baffled by the high price tags.
