Is it just another "brand" designed with the sole purpose of luring in consumers with a massive deal?
The brand is only available on retailer sites that offer "secret" deals.
High RRP on show, but expectation is only to sell at a big discount.
Brand's own website is horribly non-compliant with liquor laws. No licence number, address, contact information etc.
SK provides reassurance.
Good luck.

There are normal retailers who sell Devitt & Moore. Perhaps it's not as extreme as you make out. I don't think it's an entirely fabricated brand.

Any thoughts about :

Grant Burge Shadrach Cabernet Sauvignon 2012 (3 Pack - Gift Boxed)

$200 for 3 ?
Thanks everyone! I ordered a pack to give it a go!

Hopefully the 12 is better! They release the 8 only on best years.
Found the origins of my purchase. I bought 2 x Shadrach 2009 (under cork) and both were very disappointing

Was sold by Vinomofo personal dealer email at $29.90 a few months ago. An absolutely legendary Cabernet that sold out in minutes… Apparently there are still some around… 😂

Out of curiosity, has anyone who purchased the museum release Clarendon Hills wines via Carpe Diem of late had a chance to sample them? How do they stack up? Past it? Are they worth the punt?

Purchased the 2005 Clarendon Hills Kangarilla Grenache (McLaren Vale) during the last Carpe Diem sale. Was not confident how it would be as it was almost 20 yeras and under cork... also my first experience with Clarendon Hills.

Popped it open with some friends and confidence levels sunk as the cork aroma was not good. No time to decant so poured it out into the glass through an aerator..... nervously took a sip .... relief! It tasted very nice ... got good reviews from mates .... a good buy at the price point!

Don't wast your time sniffing a cork. It smells of damp cork at the best of times. Smell the wine instead :)

I bought a magnum of 2012 Brookmam Merlot but haven't opened it yet. I've a bit of aged Clarendon Hills via Langton's auctions in the past and never had an issue so I haven't been in a rush to open the magnum.

Interestingly, I opened this 2012 bottle a couple weeks ago (not magnum though) after decanted, there is none of those old musty smell (can't smell the cork, it broke to pieces bits 😅).
Seems medium light body style (fruit had thinning a bit) (but again not sure if it's because I filter the wines due to the cork bits).

I had a fair bit of The old vintage of Kangarila Grenache from 2001 to 2006 over the past few years, I thoroughly enjoyed it, if you like a soft, light sweet fruit of Grenache. The fruit has lost a bit but still very enjoyable imho. I used to pay $30+for it
If you get it from carpe diem recently, it's no brainer I think. provided is still in good condition.

A great Merlot! I had it last month, loved it. Too bad it was my last bottle….
