Yeah that is a good price. But I guess I see it for around that price quite often (eg BWS has had it for $22.50, less cashback). I've accumulated a fair bit of BL cabernet, so I tend to overlook it these days. Also, perhaps an unpopular opinion (I know there is lots of love for it here) but I think it is probably only worth around $25. While I like it, I haven't had a bottle of BL cab that has ever blown me away.
Twas good when Wynns had it at $23 on their annul plan, but upped it to $30 year b4 last so that was me done.

Amassed a bit more with the CB discounts at ~$16 and at that price point is a great wine.

The '90 and '91 were exceptional IMO, very fond memories of drinking buckets of those two. As was the '94, '96 and '98.

For a wine to not really increase in price in 20-30 years and maintain consistency and quality is a pretty good standard to set.

McWilliams 842 Chardonnay is this Mystery Wine. Purchased this earlier this week.

Six pack price with EOFY15 deal and freight $137.35.

Not a bad little deal.

I had some credit with Cellar One so grabbed this

St Hallett Higher Earth Syrah 2021 $29 a bottle

Gold / top rated from Huon Hooke 96 points review pushed me over the top.

96/100

Huon Hooke

Very deep, concentrated, glass-staining red-purple colour and a rich chocolate and blackberry nose, a trace of eucalyptus, the ripe and concentrated fruit doing all the talking, oak safely in the background. Very rich and plush, concentrated and lavishly flavoured with velvet tannins and great persistence. A ripping shiraz. 12 OCT 2023

JH 94 points

An Eden Valley-sourced shiraz that shows impressive depth of fruit straight off the bat. It's all black cherry, blackberry and macerated plum underscored with hints of broody spice, sage, salted licorice, dark chocolate, jasmine and earth. For all the fruit depth, there is a nice sense of freshness from the quartz-like acid line, some fine toothsome tannin grip and a spicy finish that shows great plushness of fruits. To me, it does seem a little darker in the fruit spectrum than normal and lacks a little of the detail of previous releases but it is a lovely wine all the same.

Interesting that it turned out to be the 842. I had a look at this deal, but the critic review also appeared for the following chardonnay 6 pack...

...and none of the chardonnays in the pack were the McWilliams 842, so I stayed clear.

Fair enough, the description also mentioned tumbarumba as the region

Fair enough. It did mention in the description of the deal that it was from Tumbarumba.

I received my Heirloom. 3 Touriga, 3 Tempranillo, 1 Shiraz, 1 Cab Sav, 2 Sauv Blanc, 2 Pinot Grigio.
I got two boxes and they are both exactly the same.
Got similar, but all reds as requested. Touriga was 2021, Temp was 2018, Shiraz was 2019 (Barossa) and Cab Sav was 2017. Happy with that.

Did you have to pre-request the reds via contacting them or by submitting the request at the time of the order (in the instructions field). Any surcharges for just reds?

Emailed them after the order confirmation came through. They replied to confirm no problems. No surcharge, but hopefully they don't see enough requests to start thinking about it.
