Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

I have one on the way, but don't have high expectations. There are two reviews from Huon Hooke at 88 (2020) and 91 (2022). I bought some of the standard Dalwhinnie Shiraz 2015 from Langton's a few years back at just under $50, wasn't overly impressed.
Of interest, the standard Dalwhinnie Shiraz 2016 is $70, why is the Eagle 2015 actually cheaper?
Opened the bottle tonight, posted over on my place:
Dalwhinnie The Eagle Shiraz 2015 - this was $69 from TWC Mystery Deal 05, now up to $80.

Pretty good colour for nearly 10 years old, savoury nose, mellow oak and dark, earthy charcuterie notes, dark fruit subsumed into firm savoury tannins, acid in balance, clean long finish, almost a Euro style wine, structured and savoury rather than fruit driven.

I don't need any more older reds, but if the price hadn't risen I'd probably go for a few more of this.

Single bottle of mr pickwicks particular tawny down to $30/bottle with the credit was where I went. That's amazing value in my book.
Also ordered this, mainly because I didn't want to order more wine as I've been buying a lot of Qantas points wine recently and therefore need to address my 'drinking problem', namely the need to be able to get past the wine to access the rest of my spare bedroom where it's increasingly piled high...
