I tried to do that so my info was loaded up and ready for next month, but it wouldnt let me do it without flight details !I've done a dummy DPD with no dates, have loaded up passport so all bar travel and flights is complete etc but can't see where to load up the vaccination certificate.
Yeah. Same here.I tried to do that so my info was loaded up and ready for next month, but it wouldnt let me do it without flight details !
So I am now taking 2 Panadol and lying down !
I'm sure a lot of our senior Frequent Flyers would remember the saying " I'm going to have a cup of tea, take a Bex powder and go have a lie down" - brings back memories.I tried to do that so my info was loaded up and ready for next month, but it wouldnt let me do it without flight details !

Ha ha ! My grandfather had a Bex and a cup of tea every afternoon just in case he got a headache ! Living with my grandmother gave him the headache every afternoon !I'm sure a lot of our senior Frequent Flyers would remember the saying " I'm going to have a cup of tea, take a Bex powder and go have a lie down" - brings back memories.
It makes sense for non Aussie passport holders but I guess to do it for other holders and not Aus citizens is likely these days - discriminatory. What I don't get is why we have to upload the vaccine certificate to this document when I already have it attached to my passport. Bureaucracy gone mad.
Though if you are a foreign passport holder living in Australia Medicare allows you to upload your vaccine certificate to your foreign passport. It makes sense for non Aussie passport holders but I guess to do it for other holders and not Aus citizens is likely these days - discriminatory.
I'm thinking of tourists though.Though if you are a foreign passport holder living in Australia Medicare allows you to upload your vaccine certificate to your foreign passport.
I'm not sure that your experience is all that replicable for older people or indeed many others who could simply fill in a piece of paper on the plane back. Think about the processes you needed to do and how someone say 60 plus or simply not into technology, might deal with this. Scanning passport page - my app wouldnt, selfie - why when there's a picture embedded in the passport details, and even then yours failed first time, address - doesn't recognise unit numbers, screen shot from a phone that knows to scroll down to capture it? iPhone doesn't. So now we have to have a Samsung? Vax certificate attached to passport anyway. Seems like someone in IT had too much time on their hands.Ok so i just did my DPD using the app and it was dead simple, took about 3 minutes. Used my android phone to scan my passport photo page and rfid chip, take a selfie (first one failed, but moving in bathroom where there was better light saw second one accepted) and then scanned the printed copy of my international vax cert no problem (the one thing i had printed before i left home).
The longest bit was getting it to recognise my home address, the auto recognition didnt like the 99/99-99 street name format (kept dropping my unit number) so i had to manually enter full addy.
When came to print, i took a screen shot of the summary page, samsung phones smart enough to recognise that page was more than one screen and ensured image scrolled down to get all info.
Screen shot saved and ready for check in on Wednesday, which should b simple as Fiji Airways has a check in desk at the hotel, so i will have my boarding pass before i get to airport and they will delivery my checked bags.
