Diners - Jumping on bandwagon

Hi,

Not sure if this belongs in this thread. There was some discussion about Citi weeding out government payments on their own branded Prestige yesterday:
http://www.australianfrequentflyer....ce-payments-credit-17109-631.html#post1450383

Thought I'd post this as both an FYI in case Citi's changes have rolled across to DC and ask whether any DC members in this thread have had any issues with fiscal payments recently - I appreciate with DC posting points 2 months in arrears, it's hard to tell until well after the fact.

I haven't made any payments since March but heeping some optimism that DC don't blindly follow Citi given past experience

I've just got my latest DC statement. I made a significant Fiscal Charge during this period. It appears no points have posted so Citi's software update seems to have been applied on the DC side too. Bear this in mind if you're planning on spending with this merchant.

I thought this happened two months back then remembered that the statements are in arrears. Credited fine then. Shame if it has changed

The points balances on the statements are contradictory but new 'earn' is nowhere near if I'd got points on that charge. No more easy SPG stays for me.
Might retire the card to the bottom drawer until the dust clears from interchange cuts.

My latest statement seems to have posted points for everything:) appropriately ( dated 14th June)

Hi digpomi,

Thanks for sharing your experience. When did you put through your charge? I put mine through on 25 May. Statement issued 9 June.

Interested in others' feedback before I put through a tester - hard to keep good track of it given it's not itemised.

Edit: I've been reconsidering Andye's post:

Perhaps I've made a mistake - these points won't show up until next statement - after I've paid the current statement. I'll keep the thread posted but it appears I might (hopefully) have jumped the gun.

Apologies for any inconvenience.

These charges were from 15 April to 15th May. Was a productive month, netted about 45000 SPG points. You will have to wait till your next statement for points from the spend on 25th May

I was in the middle of my second indignant phone call when I realised (Diners customer service didn't seem to be able to offer an immediate explanation). Sheepishly apologised and hung up.

I've just got my statement. On my figuring, it has come through as expected which is a relief particularly as there are ever fewer options now.
Apologies for any inconvenience caused by my earlier post.

I've had my DC card linked to my RMS toll account which was a pleasant surprise at the time. Just got an email DC no longer accepted from 1 September and introducing surcharges 0.44% MC/Visa and 1.54% for Amex. Shame to see this DC supported biller go. Luckily I don't spend too much on tolls.

I had a lot of problems getting DC to work with ROAM tolls-now just use the MC with the lower surchage

I initiated a transfer to SPG a week ago and this morning had a confirmation email waiting confirming my points had arrived and redemption finalized. Pretty impressed - great improvement on the standard 30 day turnaround.

I was put off this card for a long time due to the time delays, glad to hear its getting better as I finally gave in and got one 2 months ago, just away to pay my first taxidermy bill, glad to be finally getting points from it.
