Discussion on Cats, Moggies and Felines in general [with Pictures]

Max very unhappy with me. Came into the bedroom and he was climbing the curtain, looked up and there was a mouse on top. He wanted it. Picked him up, put him out, closed the door to the room and opened the doors to outside, haven’t seen it since so I presume it got out. Max totally unimpressed, he's searching high and low for it! If it still inside, I’m sure he will find it.

When I adopted two rescue kittens a few years ago I hoped at least one would be a lap cat but unfortunately it didn’t turn out so…

But I guess this chest / arm warm blanket cat is a nice consolation 😇

When we adopted a 2yo rescue cat she wasn't very people oriented, but after a couple of years she changed and now follows me round like a dog. When I sit down she is straight on my knee, or chest if I am semi reclining.
Now I'm training her to be an over the shoulder cat and after 4 or 5 attempts she is getting the idea.
I think your cat will change. Cats, like most pets need attention to get the best out of them.

Juno is already a shoulder cat. Every day I work from home early in the morning she climbs up and rests her head on my shoulder after a couple of head to head rubs. I think she is happy I’m staying home on those days.

Now the problem is sometimes on video meetings during the day she tries the same shoulder head rest thing. Kind of distracts people from discussing multi million dollar projects.

All my team love her appearances. Her brother Boots face occasionally comes in from the side to check out others on the screen. That usually gets a laugh.

I’ll keep trying to teach both of them to be be lap cats. They definitely like sitting next to me or on my chest just not the lap 😜
