I was a bit mean to the boy yesterday, played some cat sounds through the TV, he wanted to know where the sounds were coming from, he worked out the speaker, but how do I get into it.
All was forgiven today.

Unfortunately this seems to have turned into a Maxie thread.

However, I have to give him points for persistence, he was in another room when I again played the cat sounds, out he came and straight to the centre speaker, in no time he had the cover off and wanted to get in side.
Then he relaxed on his climbing/scratching post. Love him to bits.

Most of the lodges I stayed at in Namibia recently had a squadron of cats. Not sure why - can’t be good for the wildlife.

But at least sometimes they are cute

I remember when I adopted them I was concerned they would grow apart like my sisters cats. Turned out there was no reason to be concerned.

The boy had a special treat today, a closely supervised visit to the garden. He had great fun, rolling in the dirt, smelling plants, but of course wanted to go deeper into the reserve.
