I still have the big guy to cuddle.

But I think he's missing her. Even though they didn't get along.

Naww… when we took our cat, she came from a home with another car who hated her. The other cat bashed her and dominated her litter box etc. She seemed to miss his company, and I feel like she expect to see him out the window sometimes. But it didn't take her long to adjust to being the only cat. Living in a new house probably helped with that.
I hope you get and give enough cuddles to each other to get through this adjustment and grieving period together.

Sadly our Pushka had to be put to sleep last Thursday. She was an aged cat and had more than used up her lives. She was a stray that came into our lives as a tiny kitten but was very feisty even back then. That continued all her life. She was pretty tough defending herself against other cats, possums and would take dogs on. She sent me to the Drs on more than a few occasions when she decided a bite was necessary. A little difficult when you take on a user name based on your pet.

Very sorry to hear that, Pushka. I can still remember our childhood pets - they can form a big part of our lives if you let them.

"...the big guy to cuddle..."
I thought she was talking about Mr. Pushka!:mrgreen:

Is your cat a bully?

My Petal spent time at the Pet Hotel while I was away and naturally she was in the biggest room I could book with various cat friendly implements. They have playtime outside the room and the cat gets to roam around the big room where the other rooms are and play on even bigger toys and climbing implements.

Petal had issues with one cat who was able to get higher than her during his playtime and intimidated him (through the see through wall) into not going higher than her.

If they were birds I would say there was a pecking order

Being a Jethro Tull fan (the band, not the farmer) I was doing some idle research while waiting for this (cats) page to open. This what came up:
Mega pets: Jethro Tull | Stuff.co.nz

That is one big coughcat!

Meanwhile back at TheEmu Nest, there have been 2 recent additions to the family - I'll leave it to you to work out which 2 they are in the photo.
Strangely, this has happened while TheEmu is slaving away on the other side of the world...
Both desexed females from the local pound, they have obviously ingratiated themselves with aplomb.
TheEmu's pet chicken reportedly has her beak well out of joint over the new interlopers. I just hope for her sake they don't turn out like Jethro!

My cat is enjoying the warmth of the heater and especially the electric blanket I have now installed on the bed. Apparently I move over to her side of the bed too much and need to be pushed back to the cold side!
