Discussion on Cats, Moggies and Felines in general [with Pictures]

Not a cat picture but sort of related. Daughter (owner of cats above) is now into photographing birds and animals (as her hip means no competition cycling still). She needed a new camera as she can't get the definition with the point and shoot. This is with the old camera but she will need a bigger lens now for the EOS to get the detail.

Had a linen party yesterday and moved the wingback into the lounge room. Miss Flick decided it was the perfect spot to watch the world go by.

Pushka moulted furiously but this didn't result in fluff balls in the floor so much but she did get very very matted. We just couldn't keep her knot free and she used to get very angry after a couple of minutes of grooming.

Went to the Drs so many times as she bit me, only me, furiously. Because I was the dummy who groomed her. The worst time however was when a dog was about to attack her and I picked her up above my head to protect her - the dog was large. My hand blew up almost immediately and then her punctures closed over which is common. The Dr was about to admit me for intravenous antibiotics if it didn't start to improve in 24 hours. It did. But I don't regret my actions.

I have a friend who just had surgery following and infection caused by a cat bite to the hand...

We've shipped Bella off to mums for a few days; she's moulting like crazy at the moment which is not ideal when you're trying to have the house photo ready.

Clearly twins. Especially that last picture. You are in Adelaide aren't you?

I was born there!

I also ended up in hospital for 4 days on an antibiotic drip after being bitten by our girl Kisumu when she was having a fight with Billy and I stupidly tried to separate them.

Probably something to do with that squished feeling. Dr Temple Grandin noted that cattle going through a cattle crush became calm. This led to her developing a "hug machine" for people like her with autism.

She seems remarkably unconcerned given the python could probably swallow her whole. (Though if you look closely you'll see its mouth was bound.)
