Yeah, no bonus on the NZ flight number.
Here's my most recent flight (NZ flight number on a Works fare):
But do you get bonus with DJ number but NZ metal?

Bump!
Quick post from the Koru Club at SYD. First time on NZ as DJ Plat, pretty impressed so far. Seamless check-in at the J counters, priority tags, express passes for Immigration / Security and a warm welcome for the whole family at the Lounge. Very, spacious, very reasonable selection of food and drinks.
So far I'm one very happy Velocity camper
I had a similar experience in MEL, priority tags, express pass and was told I can use the priority boarding lane.

Excellent news
I should also follow up by saying that the Plat recognition continued onboard. Had pre-selected row 3 on A320, greeting from CSM, newspapers and J headphones offered. Given express passes for all for New Zealand immigration.
I was pretty impressed by the in-flight service on NZ.
Here's hoping the return flight is just as good
I was impressed with the WLG boarding pass reader recognizing your status at the lounge entry....no problems
Nice to know that they are Qantas staff too!
This week I've qualified for DJ Gold however I have future flights on Air NZ that were booked back when I had bronze status. Will Air NZ still be able to work out that I have Gold status? I doubt I will get my Gold membership card before my flights next week. Reason I ask is yesterday I had a flight PER-SYD on DJ (which was also booked while I was bronze) and on my boarding pass it said I was bronze even though Gold has already updated on my online velocity account.

My experience is that no, your new status won't be "pushed" into the NZ reservation system. Ring up NZ and ask them to remove and then re-apply your Velocity number. That will force the NZ system to "ask" Velocity for your status. (This is what I did when I quickly moved from Red to Gold).

You can tell if it's been done correctly because the range of seats you can choose from increases dramatically.
If you have booked on NZ then seat selection is not available even with DJ status. (It will be once sabre is rolled out later this year) The Koru Club manager in MEL told me that she goes through and manually selects (good) seating for DJ status pax travelling on the NZ flights.Hi Fruitcake, thanks for the info. I've rung up Air NZ and asked them to remove and re enter my velocity number like you said. They managed to do that however they said their system can't see what my status level is.
Also I can't do seat selection because I bought the seat and bag fare which I believe doesn't include advanced seal selection.
Any other suggestions to make sure I get my gold privileges?

I too have done the same when having the works fare on a 777 (alas not the new) Y+ seat, exit row.We were able to select premium row 3 seats (A320) at time of booking a Works fare on the NZ website.
"Works" fares will do that.We were able to select premium row 3 seats (A320) at time of booking a Works fare on the NZ website.
