Ok, folks. Its time to stop going round and round in circles. Its clear there are differing view and opinions, which is what makes us a diverse group. Its time to accept that some people have different views and different values. Its time to accept that these views and opinions are strongly held and no amount of arguing your point is going to change the opposing views.

Closing a thread is a last resort. Our preference is for people to respect others' views and opinions and let the arguments come to their own closure rather than closing threads.

However, I am seeing several members here continuing to post the same old stuff. Your points have been made many times over. The tone and level of aggression I see in this thread coming from a small number of members with views on both sides of the argument is not providing any additional positive value to this thread or to AFF in general.

I will leave the thread open for now, but all posters should take this as a warning that any further aggression or repeating the same arguments will result in moderation action.

The line has been clearly marked in the sand - do not cross it. Do not cross it and then try to blame someone else. Each member is responsible for their own post and has the choice to not post a reply.

...

Will say though it is true thAt the pax are hotter down the back
Is that where they wear less clothing?¹

¹ Although it's not always a good thing depending on who's wearing less and how they aren't waring it ...

Row 4 is better than row 23, 737s have better legroom.

Sounds like you've seen photos of Walmart customers!

For me it depends what 767 it is - if it's a VH-ZX* then row 23 is good as the partition behind J doesn't go all the way to the floor so you can stretch your legs out. If it was a VH-OG* then row 23 IMHO doesn't offer as much legroom as a 737.

It seems that people feel if a benefit is unpublished you should not expect it.I beg to differ.
When I switched to Aadvantage from QFF lifetime status was not a published benefit of the program. However i can tell you if I did not have it conferred at 1 million then 2 million I would have been more than disappointed.
So when some WPs seem to get a shadow frequently and others often miss out I understand their disappointment.
Just as an aside mrsdrron as a WP always has had a NB in the middle seat beside her when flying QF Y.:lol::p

You're wrong ;)

I prefer 23 as although the leg room is restricted I am more likely to be able to get a two seater (AB/JK) which I prefer to a three seater (ABC/DEF) - just seems less squishy.

IMHO.... I think Wilco has tried to tone down some of his/her posts. He/She is quite strong willed and has a very DEFINITE opinion on matters.

I think eventually, as adults, the "butting of heads" has to stop, and we CAN have differing opinions.

Even forum members I get along with very well, I disagree with on certain things. That's the way we humans beings are.

To be fair... I think we are all going to look out for our own best interests. We can do this without demeaning the opinion of others though.

I've never met JohnK... But he has NEVER come across as a DYKWIA type at all. (He has had more op-ups than me though!!)

I don't know anything about yield management but I do know that if I had a loyal customer I would do my utmost to ensure they were looked after.

I certainly would not offer them certain things then fail to deliver.

lol...I see someone has just reopened the thread about row 4/5 pax using the forward bushiness class toilet... me thinks maybe having the middle seat filled by non status holders is karma for the times that platinums feel lazy in not wanting to walk towards the back and use their allocated toilets :D (I think the quote was that some will use the front toilets if they either see carts in the aisle, a queue, or if they feel lazy!! :))

In the context of the previous issues with this thread, I have removed some recent off-topic posts. I know we are generally lenient when it comes to off-topic banter, but given this thread's history, lets try to remain on-topic in this thread.
