give it a go here, Amex Double double promo

just change the blue cells only, its freely editable so be careful.
I've done it for euros (my primary) but you can just change the exchange rate to suit

let me know if you find something incorrect
In my professional mathematical opinion, the maths checks out.
Once this all blows over, we can return to checking-in.

😁

Seems it is only for Amex charge cards not Amex credit cards. Is that correct or am I missing something?

yes it seems so. platinum charge & centurion. not sure if the business ones of the same cards are eligible or not. personal ones definitely are

Yes this is specific to Platinum Charge and Centurion cards as I was told earlier in this forum. Even the reserve/explorer cards are not covered by this promo.

Sounds like a moot point but can I use amex card to transfer money overseas and use the local funds to pay the outstanding. Will it be any beneficial ?

How do you cash your Amex card and transfer the money overseas?

I guess we can use something like transferwise/westernunion money transfer for the same. I am not saying this is an ideal option but if you want to cash out the bonus points this does not look that bad as well.

They've rolled out similar globally for Platinum Charge Cars holders, we have the same in the UK. They can afford to as they're not needing to shell out money for a lot of the travel benefits associated with the card like Priority Pass entries etc.

I'm downgrading mine still anyway as without travel spend, eating out etc. we're only spending a few hundred quid a month anyway so double points is worthless.

This double points offer certainly seems like something my family and friends could support. Does anyone see any concerns with this? (I don't have an ABN so I believe RP, etc are no good to me.)

Same my spend is down about $500 a month, just purchased fuel at 78.9 cents per litre !

Amex does not care. As long as you are able to pay in time , they don't really bother unless there are some serious tax implications.

I last filled my tank sometime in Mar 3rd week and it is still half full. Interesting times when gas cheaper but you cannot do with abundance of supply.

You mean using Amex to pay for transferwise transfers? I never seen that option before, is that possible?

I tried it once, using T.W. They only took MC/Visa directly. Tried my Visa, got 0 points, luckily not charged as cash advance. I just do EFT now.
guess I could use a payment processore but my volume is tiny through T.W
