If you've registered for the promotion, I can confirm that it can take up to 6 weeks for the Double Status credits to appear in your account.

The bonus credits will apply as per the actual travel date, however please contact our Frequent Flyer team on 131131 or [email protected] should this not be your experience or if it's been longer than 6 weeks.

My problem is I'm travelling at the four week mark, and without the DSC wont have lounge access (will be going NB to SG). Anything I can do about that?

I suggest that you contact our Frequent Flyer team on 131131 to reconfirm your details prior to your travel next week.

Why 6 weels redroo when every other dsc promo has been a few days?

Every promo has had the same clause re waiting for points/SCs with varying actual credit times including some at the six week mark in 2007 and 2009 post Easter campaigns.

As you know, there are a few variables involved to be eligible for special offers. 6 weeks is usually the maximum, however in many cases it's sooner.

Depending on volumes, it can take some time to ensure the appropriate checks are performed and the correct Qantas Points and Status credits are applied according to the promotion.

I'd heard a rumour that if you don't get your SC prior to the end of your membership year, and then have it applied afterwards, Qantas gives you an extra year of that status level (a bonus year I guess) because you've missed the first few days (or however long) of the new membership year. If this is true, I can be patient for my DSC that'll boost me to P1 for 2 years worth of it :p ;)

I don't think this is much of an excuse. I know other promo's have said 'up to 6 weeks' but I think almost everyone on here has had them post within a few days to a week in the past. This causes chaos for those close to the end of their membership year. Not really good enough to be honest.

I'd rather they take their time and get it right rather than botching it like the 50% bonus SCs promotion.

True but with about a week to go I am pretty sure many will not have received these SC's within the specified time frames. I'm concerned there is a problem with the IT systems in place

Well my 6 week mark is now less than T-80 so I'm happy to be the yardstick for those who are waiting patiently - unlike Ansett and a few others who seems to have been given elite treatment, perhaps I should change my AFF user name to EastWest !

OzEire aka TAA ;)

Up to 6 weeks = up to 6 weeks. If they credit before, great. If not, then they've stuck to their terms.

If of course it's greater than 6 weeks, then yes, you have every right to complain.

Under Promise, Over Deliver. That's what they're really aiming for (And i've been waiting just shy of 4 weeks for my Classic Award to credit SC's as per the promo, and have been told by QF that it's up to six weeks for that too, so I patiently wait).

With all due respect to those relying on double SC's to get them over the line to a new tier and have lounge access, the terms did clearly state 6 weeks. Anything less, and it's a bonus for you.
