As the terms state, you do have up to 6 weeks to wait. However, SC's do get backdated, so you won't miss out on Gold.
You may be able to call QF and let them know that you have had your year earn reset, so the outstanding SC's have meant you are PS instead of SG, so they may manually change it for you.

Trust me, this isn't as painful as waiting for JQ SC's to post (2+ months used to be the norm..)

Im still waiting for points from 4th, 10th, 11th flights ... so yeah ... I have now settled in and its a waiting game.

thankfully i do have QC but was hoping to use gold for better seat selection as i have 8 flights between 15th & 29th jan.

I have had strange activity for my SC's. Booked and flew TSV - SYD JASA within the december time frames (registered etc) and recieved the 200 points, a few days later get 400 'Let Qantas reward you bonus credit'. Well today the took 300 back, which is odd as they should only have taken 200. Rang today to fix it, but was told will have to wait til tomorrow :(

Yep, same sort of thing happened in my family. Also worth checking your lifetime status credits to see if anything strange happened there.

This round has been REALLY badly implemented. On my targeted offers in the past DSC have always posted 2 or 3 days after the normal SC have posted. It is a joke that it should take up to 6 weeks, WHY??? What kind of pathetic IT implementation is this? How hard is it Qantas? You dangle the carrot in front of people, they book a flight and intend on renewing status then it's a fight to get what was offered. Poor old phat-dave has been downgraded to silver and actually has to pick up the phone to sort it out. Not bloody good enough.

Completely agree. Worst thing I've seen so far is that as a result of the "reversal", my relative's lifetime status credits are now almost 1,000 behind where they should be *without any bonuses*. That's really not the sort of thing we should have to take the time to check. And I'm much less confident that mistakes to our detriment will be reversed automatically...

If you are likely to be travelling and need Gold to access the lounge before the SCs post, give QF a ring.

Do you think this would work? I may have this problem when I travel in Feb if the DSC haven't posted from January.

QF have clearly stipulated that the bonus SC's may take up to 6 weeks prior to anyone purchasing the flights - why is it poorly implemented if they have laid this out? That is the risk you take is it not?

they normally say that but why 6 weeks when we know it can be done faster? The problem here is that for some people they are appearing as expected within a couple of days but for others they are not appearing at all. This makes me feel that something has gone wrong in the implementation of this offer. With such a massive timeframe you also have this problem of people going without their status for a period of time without manual intervention which may or may not happen. hardly ideal is it?

I'm guessing it's because it means it doesn't help much if your status review date is imminent, so you can't close the gap quickly enough. On the plus side, the bonus period was now rather than months away (as Virgin structured theirs)

It's always better to under offer and then over deliver.

True, and at least Qantas have been clear that bonus credit aren't posted until six weeks later (so it's not a surprise)

It's QF being consistently inconsistent though. I've had a few double SC offers over the years, and most post within a few days (despite the 'may take up to 6 weeks' clause). The latest seems erratic at best. And the Classic Awards crediting SC's seems to be non-existant (although i'm 2 weeks shy of 6 weeks so i'll keep waiting for now).
