Double Status Credits links for 2013

I came across an interesting find (apologies if this has been posted already somewhere else), but it looks like the DSC offer links for this year are live. The catch is that you can't sign up for them unless you're invited! Note that the end of the link will be three months before end of the member cycle month, when/if you get offered:

Feb: Frequent Flyer - Program - Double Status Credits
March: Frequent Flyer - Program - Double Status Credits
April: Frequent Flyer - Program - Double Status Credits
May: Frequent Flyer - Program - Double Status Credits
June: http://www.qantas.com.au/fflyer/dyn/program/dbl-status-credits-jun
July: http://www.qantas.com.au/fflyer/dyn/program/dbl-status-credits-jul

etc.

Interesting - it will be interesting to see if I get the offer this year.

Re: Double Status Credits links for 2013

These were reported a few weeks ago, handy for those that have forgotten to give the OK for emails, apart from that if your not targeted they are not of much use.

Emails may not be the only way. My +1 got an offer for March-May in the post. The offer looks like a boarding pass. It tells you to head to the links above.

Thats why I said the links are handy as many do get the snail mail offers which have taken some time to arrive in the past.

Come on QF, 4 away trips to watch the Glory all on QF metal this season and I get nothing like this! :P

EDIT: oh, double points. never mind!

I just got a double sc offer that needs to be used before the end if my year in April. The silly question I have is, and I'm sure I've seen the answer before, does travel booked before the offer is received count towards double SCs?

The answer is no. Double SC only applies to new booking made after you register for the promo.

Just received my first ever double status credits offer.. I've only been waiting about 4 years.

Anyway better late than never. Now to start looking for some ASA.

When does your membership year end, let me guess it's the end of May?

Yup

I'm looking to do a status run. What are the best options out of Cairns?

Look for CNS-PER via SYD or MEL. CNS-ADL is also not too bad. CNS-HBA via numerous ports is also worthwhile. If you don't mind paying a bit more on the $$ side of points + pay, then CNS-KTA and CNS-BME are not too bad either. CNS-ZQN is not too bad, though a rare find.

Yeah got the email today. Only prob is I have two existing bookings already that would have been nice doubled: BNE-MEL-BNE in J and BNE-ROK-BNE in full Y. Considering rebooking these now....

My year ends 31MAY. I'm only 235 SC's away from getting WP so will easily make it... will be thankful to have it back after a few years as a QP slumming SG!

If booked on points have a look at the T & C's of the class you booked in and see what the penalty is for cancellation and book again if the point cost etc is viable ?
