In that case I am close enough to 2400 SCs to consider a run if I received a DSC offer.

Hmmm....so work will pay for a weekend hop from Dubai sometime in the next two months as there's not really going to be enough time for me to fly all the way back to Australia.

Would probably do a J DXB-LHR if a DSC offer came my way for a handy 400SC to help me make WP for the first time. Without a DSC, I won't get there so probably wouldn't do the flight (as it would really just be fly there, lunch, dinner, fly back....pretty unpleasant on the body).

I'll put $4.5k on the table...over to you Red Roo!

Check the CX J fares ex DXB. You might find something special. RJ J short haul might help too.

Does anyone know how long the double sc's are taking to post to accounts? I booked and flew within the specified period and only the regular sc's have been credited. Should the bonus ones have been credited at the same time? Or do they post separately after a certain period? Just trying to figure out how long I should wait to chase this up.

As above, but the T&C do state they can take up to 6 weeks (usually)

Mine posted within a couple of days after normal points/SCs were posted after the flight. Guess it worked out alright for me - double SCs, deep discount ticket, op-uped on 1 leg, and now almost enough SCs for another year of WP.

If I was the Accountant for QANTAS.........this is what I would be hearing every day with the DSC offer......kerching,kerching,kerching,kerching

Very smart move in my book, I am sure there are heaps of us who take an extra unintended flight or two close to the end of our year simply to be able to continue to access the lounge and a few other benefits that really do not cost a fortune to provide.

What day of the month do DSC offers come out? Need to book some flights for a few weeks time and have been happy to wait on the off chance a DSC comes through, but at what point do I accept I'm not getting one, cry, and book my flights?

My requal date is end Jan, however as I have already made WP again, I doubt I will be offered a DSC.

my re qual date is 01 Sep 2014 and have made WP again don't think I will get DSC this year or next

It depends, if you get close enough to WP1 you may well get an offer to get you over the line.

If you're renewal date is 31/12, sadly you've missed the boat the offers have been sent out for about 3 weeks now.

For those with 31/1 renewals, wait 1-1.5 weeks and the DSC's should come out then if the date when the offers for 31/12 renewals are anything to go by.

In the middle of October with 460 SC in the bank, due to expire on 31 Dec, I didn't think I would make SG, but a couple of days later bliss - the DSC email. A quick 2 sector + return trip yesterday has netted 320 SC so now SG (when they are credited). I am pretty sure I activated the offer and printed the activation receipt, although I can't find it now.

Thinking about the 620 (only 320 DSC) to go for WP now.

There's a long back story to this but :
I was offloaded from a QF link flight last week and put onto the next JQ flight.
BP said "sold as QF xyz"
Was in the process of chasing up ORC as flight booked and eligible for double SC's promo.
The JQ flight ended up posting at full Y and the double SC's posted today :mrgreen:
