Just checked my inbox and there was a nice juicy DSC offer waiting for me. Managed to get the 50% bonus SC offer till end of January and now the DSC for the second time in two years, both DSC were target at either attaining the next level of status or retaining.
My membership ends in December.

So do you get double SC and 50% SC's as well ??

I think the wording on the 50% offer was that only 1 offer applies ???

I have a screenshot at home :)

I got both offers, but only one offer will apply at any one time (hopefully it'll be the DSC till end of year and then the 50% bonus will kick in for January for flights booked before end of this month)

Indeed, I want the double offer not 50%

Will wait and see I guess!!!

End of December is my anniversary date

From the email

"Make a new booking and fly on any eligible* Qantas flight (i.e. with a QF flight number on your ticket where Status credits are normally earned) between XX Oct 2013 and 31 Dec 2013."

So does that include JQ flights ???

How about flights on EK metal with a QF84xx number ?

That should be fine, if it has a QF flight number and will earn SCs! Technically the double works on JQ flights with Qantas flight numbers, you get double nothing!

Has anyone ever figured out the equation for how Qantas decides on who receives a DSC offer? I'm on 610 points now, just about to head on CBR-ADL-MEL in J to achieve 710 and my first ever Gold QF. My renewal is in April if I recall.

How do you get CBR-ADL-MEL on the one itinerary?

Uh, I just did multi-city and then picked ADL and MEL as the destination airports. It produces 100 SC for 24,000 points + about $90. I thought that was pretty good.

Did you book this online as P+P or on the phone as ASA on U fare?

So you mean P+P - which earns points & SC and not a classic which does not?

Unless you found a new way to book ASA for U fare online?

Uh oh. I don't know. It says the following:

Status: Confirmed Travel Class: Business (U)
Flight Duration: 1h 50m

Status: Confirmed Travel Class: Business (U)
Flight Duration: 1h 20m

Credit Card & Points
= $90.20 (AUD) + 24,000 pts

How can I tell whether I'll get SC from it or not?

That looks suspiciously like a classic award considering the low co-pay.
