Was it QF1545 on Christmas Day? If so, I was on the same flight (I've posted on another thread that 0 points and SCs were credited for some reason)...

Yes mate that was my flight. Very pleasant and was happy to get home to my two toddlers on Xmas day!

I was at seat 1F... Were you sitting next to me on your way back from LAX? And out of curiosity, did your points and SCs post or was it just me?

No I had just come from DFW. YOW-IAD-DFW-BNE-CBR all in one go. Ugh. I don't recall my seat on the BNE-CBR flight, I'd have to check my ticket.

Not sure what everyone is getting excited about...??? Honestly the first that someone should be complaining about not receiving their double status credits is sometime around 12/1/14, if you booked and travelled on the first day of the promotion...

Ω This offer is valid for new bookings and registrations made between 12.01am (AEDT) on 01 December and 11.59pm (AEDT) on 31 December 2013 for travel on eligible domestic Australia flights from 01 December 2013 to 31 January 2014. You must register for this offer via the registration link atqantas.com/double. Members only need to register once for the offer, irrespective of qualifying flights. Travel is subject to availability and any applicable fare conditions. Flights can be booked via qantas.com, a travel agent or Qantas Direct. Fees may apply. Your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership number must be recorded at the time of registration and booking to earn the bonus Status credits. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other Status credit offer by Qantas. Only one Status credit offer can be used per each individual qualifying segment of your itinerary. If you qualify for multiple offers, the offer first-registered for will be applied to each individual qualifying segment. Bonus Status credits may take up to 6 weeks after completion of your travel to be credited to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account.

I guess it just doesn't make logistical sense to withhold the status credits for people that will have their anniversary on Dec 31 - whilst they will be retroactively given the points (and status), it involves a lot of manual rework for Qantas. It makes no sense from a workload perspective for Qantas.

Rules are rules unfortunately... I wonder what those with a Nov 30 anniversary thought of this offer ;)

Not missing anything ... but with previous targetted DSC offers, QF have always said "up to 6 weeks for DSCs to credit" but in reality the DSCs credited only a few days after the normal SCs earned. So having to wait the full 6 weeks is inconsistent with previous QF practice.

Admittedly as this wasn't a targetted offer they probably have many more DSCs to deal with than previously.

Just annoying to have to wait as I want to click over to LTG :)

Exactly, "up to 6 weeks". Suggests that they may come early. And handy if those DSC are going to bump you up a status level (or two ), and you are flying again before that 6 week mark (ie me).

What would be the benefit to QFF of delaying crediting the double SC's for 6 weeks?

None really, think of the benefit for the passenger, this should be a glass half full thread not a glass half empty one shouldn't it?

Which is why I tend to subscribe to the cough up Vs conspiracy theory in this (and most) situations.

I think at this time of year everything takes a bit longer.

During one double SC promo I got all my extra SCs on the last day of the promo period in one hit, so about 8 weeks after my first flight, on another I got them 2 days after each flight.

I don't suspect it's anything other the system needs time to process things.

Yeah I agree, there are simply not as many staff on deck during the Christmas break, and it was a spray and pray promo, so it's going to involve a big backlog. I wonder whether anyone at all has had SCs credited?

I've waited the 6 weeks and got nothing......

It took 4 calls to QFF and a RedRoo intervention or two to get my last DSC.....painful and pointless IMHO.

Has anyone had a DSC offer so far in January?

My end of year is coming up at the end of March and my understanding is that any offer would arrive around 90 days prior.

HAve some booking to make and don't want to jump too soon.
