Double Status Credits 2013

its been just over 5 weeks since my 4th Dec flight (bought on the 1st Dec). Still no DSCs. I also flew on the 10th and 11th and same, no points yet. I have another flight next week, will suck if I have to wait for those points until early March since they will be my first WP milestone.

I am flying Melbourne to Brisbane this afternoon on a DSC (booked as a JASA). When I checked in at the kiosk it said there was an earlier flight available and did I wish to change flights. I stayed with my original flight because I wasn't sure whether I would still get the double Status credits. For future reference could someone please let me know what happens in these cases if you change to an earlier flight. Thanks.

You would only be able to change to an earlier flight on a JASA if there were seats available in the U fare bucket, which I doubt a kiosk could tell you....

Yes it can :)

In my experience if they're offering ODUs on a flight (on departure upgrades), the kiosk will let you change to it on a JASA.

I have been offered earlier flights on Red e-deal's before at kiosk. It's all about flow-forward for QF. If it suits them to get you on an earlier flight, they will let you (if you don't have a flexible ticket).

I think at this time of year everything takes a bit longer.

During one double SC promo I got all my extra SCs on the last day of the promo period in one hit, so about 8 weeks after my first flight, on another I got them 2 days after each flight.

I don't suspect it's anything other the system needs time to process things.

Matt

Exactly. Coming at it from with an I.T. background and knowing that it's probably all 1980's mainframe-based stuff, I would say that they have a systems job scheduled to run in batch overnight on 31st January which will process everything in one go.

What a relief. I was dreading some sort of manual process.

No doubt, but the same apply to a Classic Award seat (which is the same fare bucket as a JASA)? I'm not sure about that.....

They better not, because 31 Jan is longer than 6 weeks for my DSCs.

Or they might just want you to spend less time in the lounge? One less drink you have is one penny saved. :)

DSCs have posted for flights booked after 1 December but not for those booked on 1 December itself...
