Double Status Credits (book by 5/2/18, fly 12/2/18 to 20/1/19)

I posted in another social group but of the vouchers I purchased, one email did not arrive. Luckily I grabbed the PNR and am able to redeem it but when multiple are purchased it’s easy to not realise that one is missing. Grab that PNR.

Too true without the PNR it is extremely difficult to trace

Agree, always make a note of the QF Gift Voucher PNR.
Add it to your phone's notepad.
I did not write mine down, and there is no where on the QF website that it reminds you of the 6 alpha numerics, I had to phone up to redeem the voucher.
That was my one and only QF Gift Voucher buy and use, so was a charged the telephone consultant fee!

Just booked my first status run (SYD-MEL-CHC-MEL-SYD) for later this year (after membership renewal)
Now I need to find another 200SC at a good rate to complete my count....hmmm.

Because no more F fares Au - NZ apart from going SYD - CHC with EK with a QF flight number, maybe an F one way SYD MEL in discJ, MEL - SIN in EF F and J back, SIN does open up some possibilities.
SIN - BKK with 3K, then BKK - SYD, if you live in SYD.
Havent done the sums of how much it will cost, but 200 QF SC is not hard to amass, if money is not a factor!
OR SYD - CHC - SYD, both in F of course, 120 x 2 = 240 QF SC.

Regarding timing of the DSCs.

My QFF anniversary is the end of February. If I book a flight during the 'booking period', and fly during February, will the extra SCs credit back to the flight date in February when they eventually post 6-8 weeks later, or will they credit to the extra SCs posting date?

This, all SCs will show against the date the flight commenced.

Yes ... The PNR creation date is important; Ticketing date is not.

Given that it’s the PNR creation date that’s important, then “Book Now, Pay Later” should work?

Unfortunately not (I am pretty sure this condition is the same as last year. For that one I had a Europe trip split between Qantas and Emirates-operated, all QF numbers. Only Qantas-operated received DSC)

Looking at a trip to Noumea will flight operate by Air Calin with QF flight ean the DSC or it need to be on QF metal as Qantas on operate on Sat , Sun and Monday only .

Locked in a NOU run for November this year to kick off my new year on 1NOV with a bang ....straight from Bronze to Gold by 5 NOV , which then allows me to take advantage of hopefully another DSC early next year to lock in Plat....Talk about planning ahead ...Meanwhile I will just carry on with my VA Gold until November before making the switch to QF .
