Can confirm, had a few recent instances where SCs were already posted when I stepped off the plane. Still waiting for DSCs from flights taken since end of April though.

Grrr so the wife's DSCs for a flight taken early May have posted. Mine, on the same PNR haven't. Go figure :)

I am just confused, I had a DSC automatically post today for a flight taken last Thursday. It was a flight that had the PNR created back in Feb but was only ticketed in mid Apr so a GV.

I have other GV flights (DSC and DP) that have been taken prior to Thursday's flight that have not posted any additional bonuses (SC or points) and was not expecting this flight to post, but will wait to see if the return leg posts.

I also had DSC post today for a similar booking. Hopefully the return flight taken on Friday will post soon.

Lifetime Platinum retrospectively including current SCs earned? That will be a bold move if a number of Lifetime Golds not already Platinum are handed Lifetime Platinum. They would need to increase the size of the First Lounges as they are bursting at the seams now.

I hardly think the F lounges are bursting at the seems. Sure there are times when they get busy but I have never had an issue getting a table or seating in either MEL or SYD. Even if QF did introduce LTP say around 28K SC I do not think there would be that many that would ever get to to that level. Some would be past that now and others will get there but it is not like the flood gates will open.

Considering I have never seen the F lounge "bursting at the seams" you are wrong to suggest we will never know the answer.
I have many times. People hoping Qantas will offer Lifetime Platinum can keep hoping. Miracles do happen every now and then.

Early last night both our phones buzzed with a message. Naturally we think it is from one of our sons who sends messages like this. When we both look it is from the Upgrade Fairy who has been working her magic. Mrscove is really happy.
As you know “happy wife equals happy life”.

Ah, angst! I eagerly booked myself a return SYD-LAX (Business) during the DSC promotion period, but the recent USA Sale makes the same trip available for over $1600 cheaper. What to do!
No-brainer really: cancel original ticket and forego the DSC, buy a replacement ticket at USA sale prices and get back $1000 even after cancellation penalty.

I’d suck it up and take the DSC’s. But then I need to know more detail to be absolutely sure about that.

The assumption here is that all of a sudden there would be a massive influx of SG’s suddenly endowed with LTP. If those same SG’s were regular high volume international flyers then maybe JK has a point........ However, I’m not so sure I agree with that assumption.

If they were regular high volume then they would more than likely have status and be there anyways, :)

UPDATE: my DSC have posted. Flown 12 may, posted 21 may. All previous crediting were only 3 business days. Panic over! :D:p;)

This is good news!

There’s clearly some delays...I had a flight on 4 May for which DSCs have still not posted. The other half was on the same flight and his DSCs posted last night.

I was getting a little concerned. This was a booking made during the promo period via a TA, but we had changed some of the sectors before ticketing and I was worried that we’d broken the booking.

No DSC from 25 Mar, so I've pretty much given up on those.

Frankly I think any "delayed booking" DSC that get awarded, post the T&C change, is a blessing and should be enjoyed but probably not counted on. Technicality aside QF's *intent* is clear from the T&C change and it's pretty clear to me.

I would expect, going forward, the norm will be for this not to work. If it does that's great, but I wouldn't count on it.

IMHO

Have you chased them?

No DSC from my return flight on the 12th April which is coming up to 6 weeks :(

Strange since the outbound flights posted fine, I did have to change my return flight to a day earlier. The DSCs will take me to 510 SC and I'll only make gold if I get the 50 SCs from the loyalty bonus and squeeze in another work trip to Asia before end of June with a GV (if the DSC post from the GV).

Have had all three methods post ... not post. With intervention - they all post.
