To add a data point, these flights are all through the work travel agent - which we're forced to use as the flights are Salary sacrifice. I've never had anything take longer than 3 days to credit in previous years via this same method.
Isn't it interesting waiting 8 weeks when the T&Cs say may take up to 6 weeks.I've had 5 flights bought during the DSC period, not GVs, and not a single DSC has been credited yet.
First one was 10th April so the 8 weeks expires this Tuesday but I'll not be very happy if I have to chase every one of the 8 flights ( 3 to come ) purchased during the DSC period. It'll be a total of 480 SC so clearly a significant amount to be sure of getting.

I have to ask the same question. What is this 'salary sacrifice' flights I have never heard of that type of arrangement for salary sacrifice.Hey Borisdog - but off topic here but what do you mean ‘salary sacrifice’? Are these work or personal trips?
I would strongly recommend chasing all of the five flights at the same time. The fact they haven't credited any DSC's suggests something very wrong. Get a receipt for the call, note time and date. They may not be able to sort the more recent flights but it'll save discussion when you call back again. It might even suffice to shake them all loose without any further input from you.I've had 5 flights bought during the DSC period, not GVs, and not a single DSC has been credited yet.

Good point. If you received a confirmation email saying you are registered then your registered If you did not then you are not registered for DSCs. As to the GMT time glitch it is real. I went through that exact problem and had to wait for the full 6 weeks before they would do it manually which stopped me getting over the line for WP and missing out on the F lounge experience in Sydney for the first time. Now all good.Stating the obvious I guess, but are you confident you did in fact register during the registration period and if so, could there be the dreaded GMT error at play here?
im having a weird status credit transaction, travelled from MEL-BNE-CHC-BNE-MEL and only got double credit for one leg, the remaining 3 legs only 50% with the below description.. anyone experience the same thing ?

Sounds as though "Work" is running scared of FBT! Haven't come across this arrangement before. Interesting.OK - To answer some of the questions raised by replies to my last post
- Yes - I am confident I've registered, I rang 3 weeks ago chasing up the first lot. Guy on the WP line said - I can see you've registered, you need to wait the 6-8 weeks and ring back then. There is a long story with regards my registration, short version - First attempt at registration didn't get confirmatory email but booked flights anyway - rang desk to tell them and they put a note on my file. That worried me so I cancelled all the flights, re-registered, got the confirmation and rebooked the flights.
- Salary sacrifice flights are flights to go to work, but I have to pay for them myself. ie Work don't reimburse me. Just like a lot of you people drive to work at your own cost I happen to fly there at my cost. There is an agreement somehow with ATO that I , and many others, can buy our airfares pre-tax via salary sacrifice.

I haven't heard of SS for airfares, but certainly other aviation related expenditure I've heard of. Lounge membership for example can be salary sacrificed by the Qld public service.
My extract above is a cut and paste from an auditing company KPMG compliments from Mr Google (Salary sacrificing FIFO travel costs KPMG AU) I am not a tax expert. Just putting it out there as I did not understand it alsoFBT is not salary sacrifice. I think Borisdog was referring to the pure and simple SS arrangements and not FBT. The salary sacrifice abiltiy would hinge on point of hire I'd suspect and possibly be linked to a remote area allowance/clause..
