Silly question I think, do ASA/JASA's booked and taken in the timeframe qualify for double status' ?
AS far as I know yes :) Makes it a good lurk doesn't it? Because I had set dates I wanted to book for (Cairns for the Queens Birthday weekend) and so booked revenue flights as the cost effective JASAs seemed all gone. I have this vision of FFs waiting hungrily for the DSC offer to hit their in boxes and then they immediately swooped on all the cheap JASAs they could find :)

Good in theory, except they craftily preceded the DSC offer with a pretty good fare sale. Many like me booked at least one flight on the back of that! But it's a long promo and good for another couple of TPACs for me.

At the next QF sale (whenever that may be), will the points needed for JASA also reduce? I'm thinking of hanging out for a bit before booking anything in hope that the points will be reduced

Some-one posted that they got some great value JASAs to HKG during the sale. I looked at the flight I ultimately booked (as a revenue ticket) as a JASA and it wan't any better value than normal.

I booked flights on the 2nd April, but only read the email and registered on the 3rd April. The fine print indicates to me that the flights I booked are still eligible for status credits, but it's not clear to me. Does one have to register before booking, or just register before end of offer period?
" The offer is only valid for the recipient of this email when you register, book and travel on an eligible flight between 12.01 (AEDT) 2 April 2013 and 11.59 (AEST) 30 June 2013. You must register for this offer via the above registration link by 11.59 (AEST) 30 June 2012 to be eligible for this offer."

Might be worth checking with Qantas. I've used DSC offers before and was always under the impression you had to register then book.

Oh and welcome to AFF. :)

I can ungleefully announce that I'm probably the one sole AFFer NOT to receive the DSC email ... makes me feel most unloved ... :(

Sobbingly,

BD

Buddy

I'm in the shed with you :(

I'm pretty sure it is crowded with QFF rejects.

I still have a voucher from QF for the grounding of the fleet. Will i earn double SC if I book now? My DSC offer ends 30 June.
I wouldn't think so.

Some of us were able to eventually persuade Qantas and receive double SCs for gift vouchers purchased in December but that is a totally different scenario which did not happen automatically and required multiple phone calls.

I tried the link Red Roo provided.. but it told me I was not eligible.. I guess they did not want my business.. Just went and booked the flights with VA..

Me too!!! :(

although I have an AA sc run booked so probably wouldn't use it...

I've also got a nice yup run booked during the DSC promo period but have managed to squeeze in a few extra segments in .au before and after.... don't waste the opportunity.

Has anyone received the email having already prequal for WP I wonder?

SWMBO got the offer & re qualified for WP 1 month into her membership year over christmas. Membership year ends 31st September. Her 3rd in the last 12 months. Pretty lucky

May have to extend the shed. I can never use these anyway these days as I generally book 6+ months in advance.

I guess the 2100+ Sc's I already have this "year" (only 1k on QF) may have been a determinant.
